Good afternoon, Gremlins,

As I get older, I am always in shock about how fast the summer passes!  Although we all mourn the end of summer vacation, the start of a new school year is always exciting! For me that excitement doesn’t happen with the buying of items for my classroom or Professional Development meetings (although Parents and Students made Open House this year amazing!!).  It is when the students come into the building on their first day back.  This year’s First Day of School did not disappoint.  We have had a wonderful three days of school this week!  It was so nice to see all of the students back at school and to hear about the exciting things they did over summer break.

Another amazing event is on the horizon. Please mark this special date on your calendars:  The annual Sacred Heart Golf Classic will be on September 28th.  Charles Tippie ‘88 is back at the helm, so this event promises to be exceptional!

Welcome Back Gremlins!
What a busy but wonderful first week it has been at Sacred Heart! From welcoming families at Back-to-School Night to seeing our Gremlins out around town placing yard signs for our newest families, there has been no shortage of Gremlin spirit.

We officially kicked off the school year with the first day of classes, followed by our first All-School Mass—a beautiful reminder that we begin this year together, with faith at the center of all we do. It has been a joyful week filled with new beginnings, familiar faces, new friendships and plenty of excitement for the year ahead.

Buenas tardes familia Gremlin,

 

A medida que van pasando los años, ¡siempre me sorprende la rapidez con la que vuela el verano! Aunque todos lamentamos el fin de las vacaciones, ¡el comienzo de un nuevo año escolar siempre es emocionante! Para mí, esa emoción no surge al comprar material para el salón ni durante las reuniones de desarrollo profesional (¡aunque los padres y alumnos hicieron que la jornada de puertas abiertas de este año fuera increíble!). La emoción llega cuando los alumnos entran al edificio en su primer día de regreso. El primer día de clases de este año no decepcionó; ¡hemos tenido tres días maravillosos de escuela esta semana! Fue un placer ver a todos los alumnos de vuelta y escuchar las cosas tan interesantes que hicieron durante las vacaciones de verano.

Se aproxima otro evento fantástico. Por favor, marquen esta fecha especial en sus calendarios: el torneo anual de golf, Sacred Heart Golf Classic, se celebrará el 28 de septiembre. Charles Tippie vuelve a estar al mando, ¡así que el evento promete ser excepcional!

¡Qué semana tan ocupada pero maravillosa hemos vivido en Sagrado Corazon! Ha sido una semana llena de alegría, nuevos comienzos, rostros conocidos, nuevas amistades y mucho entusiasmo por el año que tenemos por delante.
