Dear Sacred Heart Families,

I truly hope you are enjoying your summer break and making memories with those you love. As I was reminded today, those memories are made in the little moments that, when put together, help us build our relationships with others and reflect on the time we have spent with the people that mean the most to us. As I look forward to this summer, whether it is traveling with my family and friends, sleeping in a little, working or doing chores, or spending time relaxing and praying, I am confident that I will have an array of memories to look back on in the fall. I hope you do too! Enjoy your time and know that my daily prayers include our Sacred Heart and St. Vincent de Paul communities.

An exciting way to make a few memories and to celebrate our community is to join us at our first Multicultural Festival. The communities of St. Vincent de Paul and Sacred Heart School are incredibly and beautifully diverse, and we have a fantastic opportunity to celebrate that diversity as a united community. Please join us Saturday, June 13th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on the Sacred Heart campus for a multicultural food sale, kids’ activities, and a chance to learn something new about a different culture. We are blessed to have a variety of heritages that make up our St. Vincent de Paul community, which includes Sacred Heart School, so let’s build some memories together as a united community! There are several opportunities to help listed below, but what we really need is a strong showing from our whole community. I hope to see you there.

St. Vincent de Paul Multicultural Festival- Saturday, June 13

We are only about a week away from the first St. Vincent de Paul Multicultural Festival!  This event will celebrate the many cultures that make up our parish! The day promises to be filled with fun, joy, new experience, and most importantly…FELLOWSHIP! This is not your traditional parish picnic. This is a festival for the entire community to enjoy! We will have games for every age range, kid’s activities (including a bounce house, face painting and more), booths with food and beverages from different cultures around the world for people to purchase, live music, and much more.

How can you help make this event a success?

Make and donate food and beverages that represent your cultural heritage!
We want to have a wide variety of food from cultures around the world for patrons to buy. Contact Kevin Morales, kmorales@svdpcatholic.org, if you want to bring something from your heritage.

Buy Raffle Tickets!
We have two raffles for the festival: 1) 65” Samsung Crystal UHD SmartTV AND 2) 50/50. Tickets are $20 each OR 6 tickets for $100. Purchase tickets at the parish offices (rectory or business). You don’t have to be present to win!

Help Sell Raffle Tickets!
If you are a salesman at heart, we invite you to reach out to Kevin Morales, kmorales@svdpcatholic.org or 660-827-2311, to get raffle tickets to sell to your family and friends.

Help us promote the festival!
There are several ways you can help us promote the festival: share our FB event and FB posts, pick up fliers at each chapel to pass out or hang up in your business, and invite EVERYONE you know.

Attend the Multicultural Festival!
We invite the ENTIRE PARISH and our community at large to join us on the parking lot and green area west of our parish school from 10am-3pm on Saturday, June 13. Buy food tickets ($2 each ticket) to purchase your favorite cultural food or to try something you’ve never tried before. We will have tables and chairs so you can stay and eat it there, and then buy more to take home for dinner!

We are excited to see everyone there!

A Few Goodbyes And Thank Yous
As we conclude the 2025–2026 school year, we announce that Martha Angel, Ashley Balderrama, Lindsey Conardy, and Angela Hostetler will be leaving Sacred Heart. We are deeply grateful for the time, talent, and dedication they have shared with our students, families, and school community. Please join us in thanking them for their service and wishing them many blessings in the future.

4th Quarter Honor Roll
We congratulate our 4th Quarter A and B Honor Roll students for their hard work and commitment to learning. Estimadas familias de Sagrado Corazón,

Espero sinceramente que estén disfrutando de sus vacaciones de verano y creando recuerdos junto a sus seres queridos. Como se me recordó hoy, esos recuerdos son creados en los pequeños momentos que, al unirse, nos ayudan a construir nuestras relaciones con los demás y a reflexionar sobre el tiempo que hemos compartido con las personas que más significan para nosotros. Al mirar hacia este verano —ya sea viajando con mi familia y amigos, durmiendo un poco más, trabajando o realizando tareas domésticas, o bien dedicando tiempo a descansar y rezar—, tengo la certeza de que atesoraré un sinfín de recuerdos para evocar en el otoño. ¡Espero que ustedes también! Disfruten de este tiempo y sepan que mis oraciones diarias incluyen a nuestras comunidades de Sagrado Corazón y de San Vicente de Paúl.

Una manera emocionante de crear recuerdos y celebrar a nuestra comunidad es acompañándonos en nuestro primer Festival Multicultural. Las comunidades de San Vicente de Paúl y de la Escuela Sagrado Corazón son increíbles y hermosamente diversas, y tenemos una oportunidad fantástica para celebrar esa diversidad como una comunidad unida. Por favor, acompáñenos el sábado, 13 de junio, de 10:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m., en el recinto de Sagrado Corazón para disfrutar de una venta de comida multicultural, actividades para niños y la oportunidad de aprender algo nuevo sobre una cultura diferente. Somos bendecidos al contar con la variedad de herencias que conforman nuestra comunidad de San Vicente de Paúl —la cual incluye a la Escuela Sagrado Corazón—, así que, ¡creemos recuerdos juntos como una comunidad unida! A continuación se enumeran varias oportunidades para colaborar; sin embargo, lo que realmente necesitamos es una participación masiva de toda nuestra comunidad. Espero verlos allí.

Festival Multicultural de San Vicente de Paúl — Sábado, 13 de junio

¡Falta solo una semana, aproximadamente, para el primer Festival Multicultural de San Vicente de Paúl! ¡Este evento celebrará las numerosas culturas que conforman nuestra parroquia! El día promete estar repleto de diversión, alegría, nuevas experiencias y, lo más importante… ¡compañerismo! Este no es el tradicional picnic parroquial; ¡es un festival para que disfrute toda la comunidad! Contaremos con juegos para todas las edades, actividades para niños (que incluyen un castillo inflable, pintado de caras y más), puestos de comida y bebidas de diferentes culturas del mundo a la venta, música en vivo y mucho más.

¿Cómo puedes ayudar a hacer de este evento un éxito?

¡Ofrece tu ayuda como voluntario! Necesitaremos muchas manos. Inscríbete para ayudar AQUÍ.

¡Prepara y dona alimentos y bebidas que representen tu herencia cultural!
Queremos ofrecer una gran variedad de comida de culturas de todo el mundo para que los que asistan puedan comprar. Ponte en contacto con Kevin Morales (kmorales@svdpcatholic.org) si deseas traer algo de tu herencia cultural.

Tenemos dos rifas para el festival: 1) un SmartTV Samsung Crystal UHD de 65 pulgadas Y 2) una rifa 50/50. Los boletos cuestan $20 cada uno o 6 boletos por $100. Adquiera sus boletos en las oficinas parroquiales (rectoría o administración). ¡No es necesario estar presente para ganar!

¡Asista al Festival Multicultural!
Invitamos a TODA LA PARROQUIA y a nuestra comunidad en general a unirse a nosotros en el estacionamiento y el área verde ubicados al oeste de nuestra escuela parroquial, de 10:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m. el sábado, 13 de junio. Adquiera boletos de comida ($2 cada uno) para comprar sus platillos culturales favoritos o para probar algo que nunca antes haya probado. ¡Tendremos mesas y sillas para que pueda quedarse a comer allí, y luego comprar más para llevar a casa para la cena!

¡Estaremos felices de verlos a todos allí!

Algunas despedidas y agradecimientos
Al concluir el año escolar 2025-2026, anunciamos que Martha Angel, Ashley Balderrama, Lindsey Conardy y Angela Hostetler dejarán Sagrado Corazon. Estamos profundamente agradecidos por el tiempo, el talento y la dedicación que han compartido con nuestros estudiantes, familias y comunidad escolar. Felicitamos a nuestros estudiantes del Cuadro de Honor (categorías A y B) del 4º trimestre por su arduo trabajo y su compromiso con el aprendizaje. Con un 87% de los estudiantes de los grados 4 al 12 logrando un lugar en el Cuadro de Honor este trimestre, nuestra comunidad escolar continúa destacándose académicamente. ¡Qué excelente manera de cerrar el año escolar con fuerza!
