From Father’s Desk
Thank you for your prayers for Fr. Greivin and Fr. Martin as they attend their annual priest retreat. I will be making my retreat in June.
It was also a joy to welcome Fr. Clever back this week as he joined Kevin Morales and me at the Gremlin baseball game on Tuesday night. We gathered on the mound for “Prayer on the Mound,” supporting our student-athletes as disciples. Following the game, both teams enjoyed a meal together—thank you to Dairy Queen for their generosity.
April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month. This weekend, we will pray the rosary before all Masses for those who have suffered from abuse, and we encourage everyone to “wear blue” as a sign of support. Beyond this month, we are reminded that each of us shares the responsibility of ensuring the safety of our children and vulnerable adults.
On April 14, our parish and school participated in the diocesan Safe Environment audit, and I am pleased to share that we did very well. In fact, we continue to serve as a model within the diocese for creating and maintaining safe environments. Thank you for your cooperation and your commitment to this important mission.
Trusting in the Lord, let us continue this good work together.
