Winter Sports Action:
Varsity/JV Boys Basketball (4-1, 0-0, JV 1-2) – The SH varsity boys brought home the 2nd place trophy from the Pilot Grove Tournament on Saturday. The Grems lost a hard fought 68-60 decision in the championship game to the Northwest Mustangs. Their next action is in the Kaysinger Conference opener @ Windsor on Tuesday. Start time 6:00pm with full JV then Varsity.
Varsity/JV Girls Basketball (5-1, 0-0) – The Varsity Girls raised their record to 5-1 with a 48-38 victory over the Northwest Mustangs Friday night in the Consolation Finals of the Pilot Grove Tournament. Next action for the Lady Grems will be Monday night at Otterville vs
Windsor in the conference opener for both teams.
Varsity Girls Swimming – Girls swim next action is Tuesday, 12/13 @ Blue Springs, start time 4:00pm.
JH Boys Basketball (1-1, 0-0) (“B” 2-0, 0-0) – The Sacred Heart Junior High boys came away with a couple of wins on Saturday morning at the McGremlin Gym. The “A” team beat the Columbia Independent School Lions 25-20 in a hard fought defensive struggle. In “B” Team action the Grems ran their record to 2-0 with a 32-10 win over the Lions from Columbia.
The boys next action is on Thursday in Cole Camp where the Junior High Grems will open conference play. The JH girls play at 5:30pm followed by the JH Boys.
JH Girls Basketball (1-1, 0-0) (“B” 0-1, 0-0) – The Jr High Lady Gremlins got their first win of the season, beating Columbia Independent 33-20. The Lady Grems all played hard in a total team effort. The girls next action is on Thursday in Cole Camp. The JH girls play at 5:30pm followed by the JH Boys.
