Good afternoon Everyone and Happy All Saints Day!

Mass with the children this morning was wonderful.  I trust everyone had an enjoyable Halloween.  There is always so much energy in the building.  I think it is easily the most exciting day for the kids with the exception of Christmas.  I also know the teachers go home very tired on the day of Halloween celebrations 🙂

Fall sports are wrapping up.  Special congratulations go out to freshman Jared Owens for qualifying for the state cross country meet this coming Saturday.  Last Saturday he finished in 8th place in a very tough feld at the district race in Fulton.  Twenty five schools were represented and more that 100 runners were entered in the race.  Way to go Jared!

The varsity volleyball team wrapped up a wonderful season with a loss to Lesterville last Thursday.  The team was lead by 5 seniors and represented Sacred Heart School and the Sedalia community very proudly all throughout their run to the Sweet 16!

Varsity soccer is in their district tournament this week in Odessa.  And the Junior High Grems closed out their season with a thrilling 1-0 victory over the Stover Bulldogs in the third place game of the Kaysinger Conference Junior High Tournament.  Kudos to Mrs. Blackburn and our coaches on providing our students a high quality athletic experience at SHS!

It was great to see so many parents at the Parent – Teacher conferences last week.  We are proud and honored to be partnering with you to provide your children a top notch Catholic Christian education!  Please take a look below for a lot more information about what’s going on at SHS.  Have a wonderful week!

The Gremlins are sitting in Class 2  District 6 and will play districts in Odessa. The #3 seeded Gremlins will take on the #6 seeded Clinton at 6:45 on Monday, October 31st.

Maintenance Position Available

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a full-time maintenance person.

Job Duties

• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.

• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisor.

• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.

• Ability to use hand tools/power tools.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

RaiseRight Changes Are Here

Changes are happening with the St. Vincent de Paul/Sacred Heart School RaiseRight program.  We received new guidance from the diocese on how we are to run the RaiseRight program.  As a result, we are making some small changes to how our participants can purchase physical gift cards.  Currently, there are NO changes to using the RaiseRight app.  These changes ONLY apply to the purchase of physical gift cards.

Going forward all work to run the RaiseRight program must be performed by volunteers only.  Paid employees will no longer be able to fill orders for physical gift cards.  That means you will no longer be able to stop at the school office and have your order filled immediately.  Starting this week, we will have volunteers at school each Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am – 11am to fill orders.  During these times you will be able to have your order filled immediately based on available inventory.  Outside of these hours you can submit your order one of 3 ways: 1) you may email your order to the coordinator at scrip@gogremlins.com; 2) you may leave a message for the RaiseRight coordinator via phone call to the school office; or 3) you may turn in a completed order form into the school office.  These orders will be collected by volunteers and filled.  Once your order has been filled, you will be notified and you may pick it up at the school office.  Gift cards will NO longer be sent home with students.  As always, all payments must be submitted before you get your physical gift cards.  Payment can be made either at the time of order or when you come to pick them up.

Gremlin Student Store – New Inventory *While it Lasts

Did you know that Sacred Heart has a physical store by the commons? We are open every day from 7:30am-3:30pm just stop by the office for the key. We have new Gremlin Gear and Spirit Wear in stock ranging for youth small to adult 3x. New items were added to the store recently! Please stop by and get something for homecoming. Student Council manages the Gremlin Student Store and Cafe.

The Gremlin Student Store is open every school day from 7:30am-3:30pm (ask the office for the key)! We have the best deal in town on gently used uniforms. Get two items for only $5.

Effective November 1st students may no longer wear shorts due to the colder weather.

¡Buenas tardes a todos y Feliz Día de Todos los Santos!

La misa con los niños esta mañana fue maravillosa. Confío en que todos hayan disfrutado de Halloween. Siempre hay tanta energía en el edificio. Creo que es fácilmente el día más emocionante para los niños con la excepción de Navidad. También sé que los profesores se van a casa muy cansados el día de las celebraciones de Halloween.

Los deportes de otoño están terminando. Felicitaciones especiales al estudiante de primer año Jared Owens por calificar para la competencia estatal de campo traviesa el próximo sábado. El sábado pasado terminó en 8º lugar en un campo muy duro en la carrera del distrito en Fulton. Veinticinco colegios estuvieron representados y más de 100 corredores se inscribieron en la carrera. ¡Así se hace Jared!

El equipo universitario de voleibol concluyó una temporada maravillosa con una derrota ante Lesterville el jueves pasado. ¡El equipo estuvo liderado por 5 estudiantes del último año y representó a la Escuela del Sagrado Corazón y a la comunidad de Sedalia con mucho orgullo durante toda su carrera hacia los Sweet 16!

Varsity soccer está en su torneo de distrito esta semana en Odessa. Y los Junior High Grems cerraron su temporada con una emocionante victoria por 1-0 sobre los Stover Bulldogs en el juego por el tercer lugar del Kaysinger Conference Junior High Tournament. ¡Felicitaciones a la Sra. Los cambios de RaiseRight están aquí

Se están produciendo cambios con el programa RaiseRight de St. Vincent de Paul/Sacred Heart School. Recibimos nueva orientación de la diócesis sobre cómo debemos ejecutar el programa RaiseRight. Como resultado, estamos realizando algunos pequeños cambios en la forma en que nuestros participantes pueden comprar tarjetas de regalo físicas. Actualmente, NO hay cambios en el uso de la aplicación RaiseRight. Estos cambios SOLO se aplican a la compra de tarjetas de regalo físicas.

En el futuro, todo el trabajo para ejecutar el programa RaiseRight debe ser realizado únicamente por voluntarios. Los empleados pagados ya no podrán cumplir con los pedidos de tarjetas de regalo físicas. Eso significa que ya no podrá pasar por la oficina de la escuela y hacer su pedido de inmediato. A partir de esta semana, tendremos voluntarios en la escuela todos los martes y jueves de 9:30 am a 11 am para completar los pedidos. Durante estos tiempos, podrá completar su pedido de inmediato según el inventario disponible. Fuera de este horario, puede enviar su pedido de 3 maneras: 1) puede enviar su pedido por correo electrónico al coordinador a scrip@gogremlins.com; 2) puede dejar un mensaje para el coordinador de RaiseRight a través de una llamada telefónica a la oficina de la escuela; o 3) puede entregar un formulario de pedido completo en la oficina de la escuela. Estos pedidos serán recogidos por voluntarios y llenados. Una vez que se haya completado su pedido, se le notificará y podrá recogerlo en la oficina de la escuela. Las tarjetas de regalo ya NO se enviarán a casa con los estudiantes. Como siempre, todos los pagos deben enviarse antes de recibir sus tarjetas de regalo físicas. El pago se puede realizar en el momento del pedido o cuando vengas a recogerlos.

Tienda para estudiantes de Gremlin: nuevo inventario *Mientras dure

¿Sabía que Sagrado Corazón tiene una tienda física junto a los comunes? Estamos abiertos todos los días de 7:30 am a 3:30 pm., solo pase por la oficina para obtener la llave.
