  • Seniors: Sorry for the confusion on getting the Rotary applications out to you.  Please have the Student of the Month applications back to Mrs. Tippie by homeroom on Monday.  These are used to select students for a variety of opportunities over the course of the school year.  We also use the information to write reference letters for you.  Get them in!
  • Any seniors that are applying for the PEO STAR scholarship, please see Mrs. Tippie today regarding deadlines.
  • There will be a senior class meeting tomorrow, September 30th during homeroom in Mrs. Nau’s room.
  • STUCO will have a lunch meeting today (Thursday) in Ms. McMullin’s room to talk about Fall Homecoming. 
  • There will be a softball open field on Sunday, October 9th at Centennial Park from 5:30 to 7:30. If you plan on playing softball in the spring please plan on attending. 
  • Any girl interested in cheering for HS, please attend the meeting in Mrs. Hill’s room after announcements on Friday, September 30th. 
  • Please be sure to check the lost and found in the commons. We have many sweaters, water bottles, and lunch boxes to be claimed. All clothes will be donated to the student store by the end of the week. 
  • If you took the blue Hydro flask water bottle with stickers off the lost and found table, please return it to the office as soon as possible. The owner has been located. 
  • The Gremlin Student Store and Cafe are open every day after school. Please stop by today to see Shea Smith and Abby Arnold. 
  • All non-art JH and HS students, please sign the corn hole board in the commons by tonight. The boards will be auctioned off at the Bazaar Saturday night. 

 

Sports Action:

Volleyball (14-4, 5-1) (JV 3-7, 2-3) Sacred Heart HS Volleyball welcomed the Santa Fe Chiefs on their home court last night in a non-conference matchup.  Junior Varsity lost in two sets 16-25, 14-25.  The varsity won in a thrilling five-set, back-and-forth, point-for-point game against the Santa Fe Chiefs.  25-20, 24-26, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

 

Their next action is tonight in Windsor with JH beginning at 5 PM, followed by JV and Varsity Volleyball.

 

Soccer (9-6, 3-0)  The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team’s next action is Monday night in the opening round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament in Stover.

Girls Golf  The girls played yesterday in Cole Camp.  No results have been reported at this time.  They play again tonight in Butler with tee time at 4pm.

HS Cross Country  The Cross Country teams next competition is Saturday at the Calvary Lutheran meet in Jefferson City. 

JH Soccer (3-5-2, 0-0)

The Gremlin JH Soccer team’s next match is Wednesday, October 5 at home vs. Marshall.

JH Volleyball (10-3, 4-2) (“B” 3-3)  The JH girls took on Santa Fe and won the game in 3 sets. 25-16, 21-25, 15-7 (SH).  Next game is tonight in Windsor at 5:00 pm
