Prayer To St Vincent de Paul

Noble Saint Vincent de Paul, beloved servant of the poor, may we follow your example and do good works among those whom society has abandoned, enslaved, or forgotten.  Inspire us to feed the hungry, to love a child, to provide comfort and medicine to the sick, to clothe those whose garments are threadbare, and to offer hope and our Lord’s words to all who need respite.

 

Pray for us to our beloved God that we may commit ourselves selflessly to doing the same charitable acts that you did all your life, and intercede with him that we may have the favor of his guidance and strength and love upon this important and meaningful work. St. Vincent de Paul… pray for us! AMEN.

• Seniors: Please have your Rotary Student of the Month applications to Mrs. Tippie by homeroom on Friday.  These are used to select students for a variety of opportunities over the course of the school year.  We also use the information to write reference letters for you.  Get them in!
• The Gremlin Student Store and Cafe is open every day after school! We are excited to have lunchables to eat and prime to drink. Please stop by and say hi to Emilee Jackson and Sophia Carney!
• STUCO we will have a lunch meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) in Ms. McMullin’s room to talk about Fall Homecoming. 
• There will be a softball open field on Sunday, October 9th at Centennial Park from 5:30 to 7:30. If you plan on playing softball in the spring please plan on attending. 
• Key Club Meeting will take place today in the commons during homeroom. Anyone interested in joining Key Club is invited to attend Bellarmine Speech practice today after school in Ms. Turner’s room. Please bring your scripts.
• Any girl interested in cheering for HS, please attend the meeting in Mrs. Hill’s room after announcements on Friday, September 30th. 
• Please be sure to check the lost and found in the commons. We have many sweaters, water bottles, and lunch boxes to be claimed.
• The Gremlin Student Store and Cafe are open every day after school. Please stop by today to see Shea Smith and Abby Arnold. 
• Triston Byerly please go see Mrs. Howell after announcements. 

 

Sports Action:

Volleyball (13-3, 5-0) (JV 3-5, 2-2) The Sacred Heart HS Volleyball team is back in action tonight in Stover.  Games begin at 5:30 with JV, followed by Varsity.

 

Soccer (8-6, 2-0)  The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team kept their winning streak alive with a 2-1 victory over the Kansas City Lutheran Knights Friday evening at Clover Dell Park.  The guy’s next action is tonight in Stover.  The Junior High game starts at 4:30 followed by Varsity, then a half of JV.

Girls Golf  The girls next match is Wednesday in Cole Camp.  Tee time is 4pm.

HS Cross Country  The Cross Country teams next competition is Saturday at the Calvary Lutheran meet in Jefferson City. 

JH Soccer (2-4-1, 0-0)

The Gremlin JH Soccer team played Friday at home vs LaMonte.  No results were reported.  The Junior High plays again tonight in Stover.  Kickoff is at 4:30 followed by Varsity, then a half of JV. Early dismissal at 2:30pm.

 

JH Volleyball (9-2, 4-1) (“B” 2-3)  The JH Lady Gremlins next game for both A and B is tonight at Stover with first serve at 5:30
