Give us, O God, ever watchful hearts which nothing can ever lure away from You; an upright heart, which no evil can warp; an unconquerable heart, which no challenge can crush.
Bestow on us, O God, understanding to know You, diligence to seek You, and wisdom to find You; a life which may please You, and a hope which may embrace You at all costs. AMEN

- High School Students: Please make sure your things are stored neatly in your lockers at the conclusion of each school day. Please don’t leave our hallways and locker areas in a mess. Thanks!
- Congratulations to Jase Hinshaw and Allan Lopez for reciting all the multiplication facts from 0-12 to the entire 3rd grade class. Way to go Jase and Allan. We are so proud of you!
- Cafe open all week after school. Free cheese balls with any purchase. We also have new red and white Gremlin socks. Support the Student Council.
- Homeroom Today, Friday, January 28th: HS Speech Team, Bellarmine Speech Team, Photography Club, and Yearbook group photos will be taken for the yearbook. Please check-in with your homeroom teacher and then come to the McGremlin gym. If you want to bring props, signs, etc, please have them ready at the beginning of homeroom.
- Lunch Today, Friday, January 28th: Arly’s Student Council committee will be meeting in Mrs. Howell’s room. See you then!
- Girls Soccer Open Gyms will start Saturday, January 29 from 10:30-12 in the old gym, and will run each Saturday through February 26th. Per current MSHSAA rules, students currently in season with basketball and swim should not attend. See Mrs. Hegger for more info or if conflicts occur.
- Next week is Catholic Schools Week. We have several events planned that will allow us to celebrate.
- Sacred Heart students will be leading weekend Masses. We hope to see everyone at Mass.
- K of C Free Throw Contest set to kick off Catholic Schools Week on SUNDAY! The competition will be held on Sunday, January 30th beginning at 1:00 PM in the Sacred Heart School gym. The winners will progress through local, district and state competition.
- Monday, January 31: Please go to your first hour class. After announcements we will have a Prayer Service in the gym for all grades. You will return to first hour after the prayer service. No homeroom on Monday.
- MATH CONTEST UPDATES: Cole Camp Math Contest is February 26. There are still lots of open slots available. Smith-Cotton Math Contest has been rescheduled for March 5. Please stop by Mrs. Hill’s room and let her know if you are able to attend. The Conference Math Contest is on March 15th. Those that would like to attend need to sign up with Mrs. Hill. We will leave school at about 2:15 that day.
- The SHS National Junior Honor Society will be selling roses and tootsie pops this year! We will be accepting pre-orders through Thursday, February 10, which would allow parents to send in information and payment for valentines to be delivered to their Grems! Sales and pre-orders will also take place during all lunch shifts from Thursday, February 10 through Monday, February 14th. All pre-order deliveries will take place at the end of the day on February 14th. We will be selling tootsie pops for $1.00, one rose ( red or pink) for $2.00, three roses (red or pink) for $5.00.
- Juniors! We have a great opportunity to tell you about it! We have sponsorship to send one student to Missouri Boys State and one to Missouri Girls State this summer! This is a wonderful experience if you are at all interested in leadership or government. It also looks GREAT on a college resume. Stop by and see Mrs. Buckley by next week if you are interested in hearing more about this wonderful program.
Recent Sports Results:
High School Boys Basketball: (Var 14-3) The varsity boys next action is on Saturday at 1pm in the opening round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament at SFCC. The Grems will take on the winner of the Tipton – Green Ridge game.
High School Girls Basketball: (Var 9-9) The girls next action is on Saturday at 2:30 vs the Otterville Eagles in the opening round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament at SFCC.
Junior High Boys Basketball: (‘A’ 7-1, ‘B’ 5-1) The Junior High boys beat the Cole Camp Bluebirds at home last night by a score of 31-13. Their next action is on Monday in Tipton. Girls “A” team plays at 5:30 followed by “A” boys and “B” boys.
Junior High Girls Basketball: (‘A’ 3-5) The Jr High Lady Gremlins lost a tough battle to Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds 24-18 last night. They will also play on Monday in Tipton. Girls “A” team plays at 5:30 followed by “A” boys and “B” boys.Game time is 5:30pm.
High School Girls Swim: The Sacred Heart Swim team’s next action is on Wednesday in the CMAC Relays.
