An Advent Blessing
Our loving Jesus, we choose You, this Advent, as our King and our God. We abandon ourselves to You and seek to put all our trust in Your tender care. Draw us close to You and free us from our sin so that we may love You with a pure and holy heart.
Mother Mary, as You carried your dear Son in your immaculate womb, you also carried Him in your heart. Pray for us, this Advent, that we may surrender ourselves to the will of the Father in imitation of you. You said “Yes” to all that God asked of you and never hesitated to fully embrace His divine will. Pray that we may imitate your perfect example so as to share a deeper union with you and your divine Son.
Come, Lord Jesus, Come, Lord Jesus, Come, Lord Jesus! Amen.

Announcements:
- (new) Congratulations to Emery Paul for reciting all the multiplication facts from 0-12 to the entire 3rd grade class. Way to go Emery. We are so proud of you!
- If you are interested in getting service hours through after school tutoring, please see Ms. Newkirk in second grade.
- Reminder Face Painting tonight starts at 4:30pm. If you would like to be part of the fun and get service hours please let Mrs. Howell know today.
- Anyone interested in the Kaysinger Art Show. See Mrs. Nehring by Wednesday, December 22nd.
- It is Pajama night! STUCO is asking all JH and HS students to come out to the game tonight to support the basketball teams. We will be giving a prize to the best dressed. It is Pajama night! Please keep them school appropriate. The game begins at 4:30pm. On Monday, it will be “Preppy Night” at the basketball game.
- There will be a meeting in the commons for all girls playing any spring sport on Friday, December 17 during homeroom. See Mrs. Blackburn if you have any questions.
- Anyone in high school that is interested in design or art or computer graphics please see Mrs. Nehring before school, during homeroom or after school by Friday
- There will be a meeting for any high school student interested in playing baseball this spring in the commons on Friday morning during homeroom.
- Time to start Christmas shopping. We have two styles of Christmas ornaments, scarves, bucket hats, mugs, and so much more at the Gremlin Student Store. Stop by after school.
- Cafe opened today after school. We have sour patch kids and twizzlers back in-stock. Come say hi to Mariah and Oz.
Recent Sports Results:
High School Boys Basketball: (Var 9-0) The boys play Lone Jack on Thursday in the McGemlin Gym. This is “Little Gremlins Night” at SHS. JV tips off at 4:30pm followed by varsity action.
High School Girls Basketball: (Var 6-4) The girls played in Chilhowee last night and came away with a 56-51 victory. Their next action is on Thursday vs Lone Jack at Little Grems Night in the McGremlin Gym. JV boys tip off at 4:30pm.
Junior High Boys Basketball: (‘A’ 3-0, ‘B’ 2-1) The Sacred Heart Junior High boys ”A” team next game is on Monday, January 3rd when the Grems travel to Otterville. The “A” girls will tip off at 5:30 followed by “A” boys and “B” boys.
Junior High Girls Basketball: (‘A’ 0-2) The Junior High Girls next action is on January 3rd when they travel to Otterville. “A” girls tip off at 5:30
High School Girls Swim: The Sacred Heart Swim team traveled to Blue Springs on 12/14 for a meet. Sr. Arly Ponce took 3rd in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 100 Breast. Fr. Paige Diller had a PR in the 100 Free by 10 seconds and took 4th in the 100 breast. The varsity Girls next action is Saturday at the Truman Invitational in Independence , MO
