Good Morning Lord,
As our first quarter comes to a close this week, help us to know deep in our hearts today that you are ready to remove whatever obstacles we placed between ourselves and you. Open our hearts, minds and souls to see the future you have imagined for us, and give us the courage to embrace your plans for us even when we feel unsure or unworthy. Help us to keep our priorities straight this week and do our best. We praise you and we thank you because by Your holy cross you have redeemed the world!

- The STUCO Cafe is fully restocked with edible cookie dough, takis, airheads, and all your favorites! Come say hi to Charlotte and Avery this week at the cafe!
- The First Quarter ends on Thursday, October 21. FINISH STRONG!
- Ms. Close will have an informational meeting for Scholar Bowl on Tuesday Oct. 19 during homeroom. Please come to her classroom if you’d like to hear more about joining the Sacred Heart Scholars to participate in this year’s meets. The team is open to students 9-12.
- Bellarmine speech students are invited to room 206 during homeroom today to review Scripts with Mrs. Van Leer.
- SERVICE HOURS opportunity:
- 15 volunteers needed for Boo Bash on October 22nd from 5:30-8pm. Volunteers will be in charge of manning the games during that time. Notify Mrs. Howell if you want to help out!
- The Optimist Club is looking for 1 or 2 more groups for the October 23 Haunted Hayride. Students would be haunters at a designated spot on the route scaring people on the back of the trailers. Notify Mrs. Van Leer if you would like to help out.
Recent Sports Results:
SOCCER: (13-6-1, 4-0) The varsity soccer team hosts the Helias Crusaders tonight at Clover Dell Soccer Park. Game time is 5 pm.
VOLLEYBALL: (18-8-1, 7-2) (JV 8-5, 5-2) The Varsity & JV Gremlins have their last home match and celebrate their TWO Seniors on tonight in the McGremlin Gym as they take on the Concordia Orioles. Games will begin at 5;30 with JV, followed by Varsity.
FOOTBALL: (5-3) The football team improved their record to 5-3 with a 63-30 win over the Norborne/Hardin Aggies on Friday night. They wrap up the regular season next Friday night (10/22) at home vs St. Joseph LeBlond with a 7pm kickoff.
GIRLS GOLF: Good season golf girls!
CROSS COUNTRY: Sacred Heart Cross Country traveled to Smithton on Saturday for the Smithton High School Pumpkin Run. All 3 runners Sr. Arly Ponce, Jr. Jordan Hill, and Jr. Jaden Velando turned in personal record times.
JH SOCCER: (7-3-1, 3-0) The JH Soccer team’s next action will be in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament the week of Oct. 25 thru 29.
JH VOLLEYBALL: (1-13-1, 1-7) The JH Volleyball team lost close matches to Green Ridge and Otterville in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament over the weekend. The girls last action for the season is against Tipton Tuesday night.
JH FOOTBALL: (0-4) The JH Football team plays in their final game of the season tonight. They will travel to Kansas City to face the KC East Lions. Kickoff is at 5:30pm.
