Announcements:
- This is Standardized testing Week for students in grades 3 – 9. Let’s keep a good, quiet testing atmosphere in the hallways while tests are underway. Students, this is important and all we ask is that you do your very best!
- There will be an NJHS meeting after school Monday in Mrs. Tagues’ room.
- Juniors and any other high school students who would like to get information about class rings, Josten’s will be here at the school this coming Monday at 7:30 AM. Order packets will be passed out and there will be samples to look at. Monday, Oct. 11th they will be back to take orders. Again at 7:30 AM.
- Reminder: All students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to print their school assignments in the West Lab (Mrs. Howell’s room) before school or during homeroom.
- ENVIROTHON MEETING: During homeroom on Tuesday, October 12. The meeting will be in Mrs. Hagebusch’s room.
Recent Sports Results:
SOCCER: (9-5-1, 2-0) The varsity soccer team won a thriller on Friday night in Pleasant Hill. Down 0-3 at half time, the Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team made an impressive comeback to tie the game 3-3 in the second half and win in PK’s. The team opens play in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament tonight in Stover with a 5pm game vs Green Ridge.
VOLLEYBALL: (10-6-1, 4-1) (JV 10-7-2, 3-1) The Varsity took 3rtd in a very competitive Warrensburg Tournament on Saturday. In pool play the girls beat Pleasant Hill 25-20, 25-16. They lost to California 19-25, 16-25 and finished by beating Adrian 25-16, 25-19. They matched up with host Warrensburg in the 3rd place game and came away with a 25-23, 25-18 victory. Next up Sacred Heart JV and Varsity Volleyball face Northwest on Tuesday, October 5th at HOME. First serve is at 5:30.
FOOTBALL: (3-3) The evened their record at 3-3 with a 68-14 win over the Concordia Orioles on Friday in Concordia. Their next action is this Friday night in NW Homecoming action as the team takes on Santa Fe in a 7pm kickoff.
GIRLS GOLF: The girls next action is Thursday at home vs Butler, Cole Camp and Green Ridge. Tee time is 4pm.
CROSS COUNTRY: Cross Country’s ran at Calvary Lutheran School in Jefferson City on Saturday.
JH SOCCER: (4-3, 1-0) The JH Soccer team played in LaMonte on Friday night. Their next action is Wednesday in Marshall vs Buecker Middle School with kickoff at 5pm.
JH VOLLEYBALL: (1-8-1, 1-4) The JH Volleyball team’s next action is Tuesday the 5th at home vs. Northwest. Game time is 5:30pm.
JH FOOTBALL: (0-1) The JH Football team’s next game is tonight at Braymer. The game begins at 5:30pm..
