Announcements:

 

  • Anyone interested in JH soccer next year – we will have a meeting on Tuesday morning at 9am in the commons.
  • VARSITY- Anyone interested in varsity soccer next fall, we will have a lunch meeting in Mr. Jones room on Monday (TODAY) at 11:45.
  • The Gremlin Student Cafe is open today for your AFTER SCHOOL SNACK! We need to clear out the shelves. Once it is all gone we will be closed for the rest of the school year. Don’t miss out! Come say hi to Allie Finney and Jordan Hill. 
  • Seniors, please wear your college shirt and SH bottoms tomorrow. We will be re-taking the photo on Third Street after Mass. 

 

Sports Action:

High School Boys Baseball: (6-9) The varsity boys played in a round-robin event at Liberty Park Stadium on Saturday vs St. Paul’s Lutheran and Lincoln.  Their next action is tomorrow night in New Franklin.  The first pitch is at 5pm.

 

High School Boys Golf: The boys next action is today in the District Tournament at the Clinton Country Club.  Tee time is 9am

 

High School Track:  The Gremlin track & field team turned in great performances at the Class 1 District 5 meet on Saturday.  

 

The girls’ team placed 5th overall and the following are advancing to sectionals this Saturday:

 

KATE CARNEY  –  district 5 champion in SHOT PUT

 

ALLIE FINNEY – 2nd place finish in LONG JUMP 

 

MARIANA RESTREPO – 4th place finish in the 800m run

 

4×100 meter relay – 3rd place finish (Mariana Restrepo, Shea Smith, Arly Ponce, Allie Finney)

 

4×200 meter relay – 2nd place finish (Arly Ponce, Kate Carney, Mariana Restrepo, Allie Finney)

 

Our boys’ team also had a great day.  Top performances include:

 

REUBEN SMITH – 5th in the 400 m run, 7th place finish in both the 100 m and 200 m dash.

 

JACKSON MANNING – 5th place in the 800 m run and 6th place in the 1600 m run.

 

Extremely proud of ALL our GREMLIN track and field team!
