Sports Action:

High School Girls Softball: (Var 11-7)  (JV 6-2) The varsity girls won the semi-final contest over Windsor last night by a score of 13-5.  The win allowed them to advance to the Championship game of the district tournament vs the Lincoln Cardinals. The Grems lost to Lincoln by a score of 6-4.

The Lady Gremlins concluded their season with an 11-7 record, a second-place finish in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament, a second-place finish in Class 1 District 7 Tournament.

 

High School Boys Baseball: (6-9) The varsity boys lost a tough one to the Leeton Bulldogs last night by a score of 3-1.  Their next action is tomorrow in a round-robin event at Centennial Park vs St. Paul’s Lutheran and Lincoln.  First pitch is at 9am.

 

High School Boys Golf: The boys next action Monday in the District Tournament at the Clinton Country Club.  Tee time is 9am

 

High School Track:  The high school track team competed Wednesday at S-C HS.  Top finishers for the Gremlins included:

Jr. Allie Finney 2nd in 100m hurdles, 3rd in the long jump

Soph. Kate Carney 2nd in the shot put

Fr. Jackson Manning 3rd in the 3200-meter run

Girls 4 x 200 and 4 x 100 relays both placed 2nd  (Arly Ponce, Kate Carney, Allie Finney, Shea Smith and Mariana Restrepo)

The team’s next action is in the District Meet tomorrow in Bolivar
