Monday, Feb. 22nd is the last day to turn in St. Jude’s Mathathon Money

 

  • Fridays red and white spirit dress results are in. In 4th place: Sophomores, In 3rd place: Juniors. By only a half point in second place the freshman and in first place the Seniors!  Honorable Mention: Eli Smeltzer and Lucas Martin Best Dressed for red and white day is freshman George Bain! Congrats!
  • Congratulations to the junior class for winning the Gremlin Olympics. 
  • Congratulations to our 2021 Winter Homecoming Court and Queen Kaytlin.
  • Anyone wanting to participate in the Cole Camp Math Contest OR the conference math contest please see Mrs Hill TODAY!
  • The Gremlin Student Cafe has some new items this week: ring pops and oreos. Plus, we have just a few Gremlin and Sacred Heart stickers left for only a dollar. Come say hi to Ian and Alex after school. 
  • The Gremlin Student Store has Sacred Heart Tumblers and Gator on sale this month. Save $5 on this bundle. Get yours before they are all gone. Limited Supplies.
  • Attention: Little Grems, PK, Kinders to Sixth-Grade. Yearbooks are only on sale for a few more weeks. All orders due by March 15. JH and HS students the price goes up next Wednesday. Order online or see Mrs. Howell for an order form. 
  • A big thank you to the Student Council for all of their hard work making this year’s homecoming happen. Check gogremlins.com for a complete list of all rescheduled activities and theme days. We have extended homecoming dress-up days into next week.
  • Today is Celebrity Day Off Dress-Up Day for grades 9-12. Monday is Eras of Hollywood. Reminder dress-up days are worth 25% of the spirit stick.

Sports Action:

High School Girls Basketball: VAR (3-15, 2-6)  The varsity girls beat the LaMonte Vikings Friday night in the 2021 homecoming game and dropped the senior night contest to the Windsor Greyhounds last night in the SH gym.  The girls begin District Tournament action tomorrow. The girls play Bunceton/Prairie Home on the road tomorrow afternoon.

 

Junior High Girls Basketball: A-Team (1-11, 0-9)  The Junior High girls beat the Lincoln Cardinals Saturday in the opening round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament.  They closed out their season last night with a loss to the top seeded Tipton Cardinals.  The girls made steady improvement throughout the year and finished with a very solid performance last night.

 

High School Boys Basketball: VAR (14-5, 6-2) JV (5-4, 4-2) The varsity and JV boys beat the LaMonte Vikings Friday night in the 2021 homecoming game.  They play tonight in Windsor to close out the regular season.  JV tips off at 6pm.

 

Junior High Boys Basketball: A-Team (12-0, 9-0) The Junior High “A” boys beat the Windsor Greyhounds by a score of 52-23 last night in the opening round of the Kaysinger Tourney.  They now advance to the semi-final round of the winner’s bracket vs the Smithton Tigers tomorrow in Stover.
