Announcements:

  • The Gremlin Student Cafe has some new items this week: ring pops and oreos. Plus, we have just a few Gremlin and Sacred Heart stickers left for only a dollar. Come say hi to Maria and Mariana after school. 
  • The Gremlin Student Store has Sacred Heart Tumblers and Gator on sale this month. Save $5 on this bundle. Get yours before they are all gone. Limited Supplies.
  • Attention: Little Grems, PK, Kinders to Seniors. Yearbooks are only on sale for a few more weeks at the current price. Buy yours! This has been a year to remember! Order online or see Mrs. Howell for an order form. 
  • A big thank you to the Student Council for all of their hard work making this year’s homecoming happen. Check gogremlins.com for a complete list of all rescheduled activities and theme days. We have extended homecoming dress-up days into next week.
  • Here are some highlights.
    • All-School Mass in the McGremlin Gym at 8:30am today!
    • Gremlin Olympics are today at 12:30pm! This is 20% of the spirit stick. Students in grades 9-12 will be released by their fifth-hour teacher at 12:25pm. Get your final list of players to Claire Smeltzer. Reminder all students in each class are asked to participate in either dodge ball or trivia. Go Grems!
    • The Pep Rally is today at 2:15pm! All grades are invited to the Pep Rally. Students will attend with their seventh-hour teacher. The pep rally begins at 2:15pm. 
    • Tuesday is Eras of Hollywood Dress-Up Day for grades 9-12. Reminder dress-up days are worth 25% of the spirit stick.
  • If you have questions about Winter Homecoming please ask your HS Class President, STUCO Officers, Caten, Kaytlin, Hayden, Kelsey, and Claire or Mrs. Howell. 
  • We will have a coronation rehearsal today at 3:15pm in the McGremlin gym today. All homecoming candidates, escorts, dance, and cheer are asked to attend. 
  • Student Council Reminders:
  • The class competition to get the Gremlin Student Store organized for Homecoming is still happening!  See Kelsey if you have questions!
  • Tuesday, February 16 we will be having our first Gremlin Gear distribution party. Join us in the commons at 3:30pm.
  • High School Students, do you need service hours?  Bothwell Regional Health Center needs volunteers for the upcoming Covid vaccine clinics.  Dates are Feb. 13th and 27th from 8 AM to 3 PM.  Do not need to work the full day.  Stop by the office or Mrs. Buckley’s office to sign up.
  • No school on Monday! Please pray for good weather as you attend mass this weekend so that we can get back in the swing of great school days and a successful wrap up to our basketball seasons!

 

Sports Action:

High School Girls Basketball: VAR (2-14, 1-5)  The varsity girls beat the Windsor Greyhounds 30-24 last Friday night in the consolation bracket of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament.  The girls take on the LaMonte Vikings tonight in the 2021 homecoming game.  JV boys play a 2 quarter game at 5:30 followed by varsity girls and varsity boys.

 

Junior High Girls Basketball: A-Team (0-10, 0-8)  The Junior High girls lost to Windsor last night at the SH gym.  The Grems play the Lincoln Cardinals in the opening round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament tomorrow afternoon.  The game tips off at 5:15 in Stover.

 

High School Boys Basketball: VAR (13-5, 5-2) JV (4-4, 3-2) The varsity boys beat the Lincoln Cardinals by a score of 50-43 for 3rd place in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon.  They take on the LaMonte Vikings tonight in the 2021 homecoming game.  

 

Junior High Boys Basketball: A-Team (11-0, 9-0) The Junior High “A” boys open Kaysinger Conference Tournament play on Monday.  The Grems take on the winner of the Windsor/Green Ridge at 6:45 in Stover.
