Announcements:

  • There will be a meeting during lunch today for any high school student interested in playing tennis this spring.  The meeting will be held in the commons
  • Congratulations to Isabella Hernandez and Jocelin Angel-Saldana for reciting their multiplication facts to the entire 3rd grade class on Tuesday.  Way to go girls.  We are so proud of you!!!
  • The Gremlin Student Cafe is open! Come get a capri sun and chips from Jackson and Liam. Thank you for supporting your Student Council.
  • The Gremlin Student Store is open after school and at home events. Forgot your school gator? We have them in red and white at the store.
  • The deadline to submit an entry in the Gremlin Gear design contest is TODAY by noon! 
  • Mark Your Calendar: The Sacred Heart Pink Out is Friday, January 15th! T-shirts will be available at the game for a minimum donation of $15! At the halftime of the Varsity Boys game the winner will be announced for the silent auction for a signed basketball by both boys and girls basketball teams! All donations will benefit Cancer Perks! The Sacred Heart Student Council would love to see YOU there, so come out and support our basketball teams and Cancer Perks! Tickets and masks are required for entrance to the game.
  • The annual Sacred Heart Cheer Clinicwill happen tomorrow.  Participants will perform at halftime of the Girls game vs. Green Ridge tomorrow night. Don’t forget about the fun crafts, the pizza, and the t-shirt you will get to enjoy! 
  • Don’t Forget!  NJHS is having an Animal Shelter Collection, they have extended the deadline an extra week just so you can donate more stuff! Paper towels, bleach, newspapers, pet toys, and Monetary Donations are needed. All Items will be collected in the Commons and in Mrs. Kilby’s classroom. Get all items in by Friday, January 22nd at 3pm. Please help out these animals!!

 

Sports Action:

High School Girls Basketball: VAR (1-9, 1-2)  The varsity girls next game is tomorow night at home vs the Green Ridge Tigers.  JV Boys tip off is at 5pm followed by varsity girls action.

 

Junior High Girls Basketball: A-Team (0-2, 0-1)  The Junior High Girls next action is TONIGHT at home vs Green Ridge.  Tip off is at 5:30pm.

 

High School Boys Basketball: VAR (6-4, 1-2) JV (1-3, 1-1) The varsity boys next game is tomorrow night at home vs the Green Ridge Tigers.  JV Boys tip off is at 5pm followed by varsity girls action then the varsity boys.

 

Junior High Boys Basketball: A-Team (3-0, 2-0) B Team (2-1, 2-0) The Junior High boys next action is TONIGHT at home vs. the Green Ridge Tigers.  The girls game tips off at 5:30pm followed by the boys “A” team.

 

High School Girls Swim: The Sacred Heart girls swim & dive competed against Lee’s Summit, Belton, and Smith-Cotton on Tuesday.  The Lady Gremlins had some strong finishes.  Sr. Kelsey Hudson had a time of 35.06 in the 50 free & 1:18:48 in the 100 free.  Arly Ponce had a time of 2:51:60 in the 200 free & 1:06:94 in the 100 free. Hayden Altena also did great in diving with a score of 142.65.

Yesterday the girls went to Truman High School in Independence …..
