Good Evening Sacred Heart Family,
Based on the additional positive test results received by SH Administration since the school was adjourned on Friday, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the health and welfare of Sacred Heart students, families, and faculty to cancel classes for this week (November 23-25, 2020).
Sacred Heart Administrators asked for an emergency meeting of the School Advisory Council at 5 pm this evening. At this meeting, a recommendation was made by the School Advisory Council, based on the data given by SH Admin, to cancel school 11/23-11/25. The Sacred Heart Administration accepted this recommendation from the advisory council.
This decision came based on the rise of positive cases over the past twelve hours. We have evaluated the current situation based on new information we received today. In the data table below, we have provided the percentages available to SH administration on Friday and then the updated percentages based upon information received today. As indicated, our percentages of positive cases tied to school exposure has multiplied by three, indicating a significant increased risk to our students and staff.
It is our sincere hope that by taking these precautions, classes will resume as normal on Monday, November 30th. Data regarding COVID-19 percentages will continue to be communicated by Mrs. Martin (Principal).
