Message From the Pastors: XLT Adoration was born!  XLT means Exult.

One of the gifts Pope John Paul II wanted to give back to the laity that they actually started for the church was a renewal of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.    As you are aware during his papacy and continuing on with Pope Benedict and Pope Francis Adoration chapels continue to grow as more and more become familiar and see the fruits of this beautiful gift!

Youth Ministry including LifeTeen saw the beauty of Adoration and desired to find a way that would make it attractive and effective for children and teenagers.  Thus, XLT Adoration was born!  XLT means Exult.

Today our students were brought over to the Sacred Heart Chapel to pray in front of the Exposed Blessed Sacrament.  However, this isn’t like the adults. XLT Adoration has the important element of Sacred music played by Mr. Hartman interspersed so that they are not only sitting in silence.  Also, Deacons Arvol Bartok and Turf Martin, Fr Joe, and Sr. Mary Ruth Wand, SSND  came to hang out by a wall around the corners of the church so students could individually take advantage of visiting and praying with them.  As you have heard the priests preach in homilies, we all have to be better students of silence.  So, once a month for age-appropriate times from 20-40 minutes, students and faculty will attend XLT adoration and become experts of silence and hear the voice of God working in their lives.
