Happy Fall Homecoming Friday Everyone!
There is sad news to share today as we send out this Beat. Mrs. DeGraff’s husband Mike passed away earlier this week and we want to offer her our love and support. On Friday, October 2 at the Sacred Heart Chapel the visitation will be held from 1-2pm followed by the funeral Mass at 2pm. Masks are required. Please keep Mrs. DeGraff and her family in your prayers.
I hope many of you can come out to Clover Dell to support the Grems for Homecoming festivities tonight!
The JH soccer team will kick things off at 5:30 pm followed by the Varsity team at 7 pm. Adelynn Hunsaker will be singing the national anthem and alma mater. The coronation is at halftime of the varsity soccer game. These are outdoor venues, masks are optional, we do recommend spectators follow social distancing guidelines.

SHS Golf Tournament – – – AND…. A Special Invitation
The 10th Annual SH Golf Classic is coming up Monday and we have room for more teams.
IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO GET YOUR TEAM SIGNED UP!
This is an important event for us each year. We have open slots and need your team to get signed up. Please take a look at the attached flyer. If you can put a team in the event (and recruit others to do the same) it would be very much appreciated.
The weather looks like it will be gorgeous again this year so I am confident you will have a wonderful time playing on a beautiful golf course!
After the tournament there will be a special CHIEFS – RAVENS watch party at the Country Club and all SH Golf Tournament Participants are invIted to attend. Check out the flyer below.

Message From the Pastors
The Discipleship Armor, the Prayer Journal
On Wednesday, the Freshmen received their prayer journal in the midst of a prayer service. During the prayer service, students were invited to use the Matthew Kelly Prayer Process to guide them in their journaling as Mrs. Bolin and Fr Joe explained each step. The students received the prayer process to keep in their prayer journal. So that everyone can benefit from the armor of a prayer journal, here is the Prayer Process that was introduced and given to the Freshmen:
Prayer Process used for Journaling:
1. Gratitude: Thank God for what you are grateful for today.
2. Awareness: When were you not the best version of yourself; talk to God about these and what you learned from these moments.
3. Significant Moments: Identify something you experienced in the past 24 hours and explore how God might be trying to say something to you through that event or person.
4. Peace: Ask God to forgive you for any wrong you have committed against yourself, another person, or Him and to fill you with a deep and abiding peace.
5. Freedom: Speak to God about how He is inviting you to change your life so that you can experience the freedom to be the best version of yourself.
6. Others: Life up to God anyone you feel called to pray for today asking God to bless and guide them.
7. Pray the Our Father.

Looking for Cafeteria Helpers
As you can imagine with all the extra cleaning and disinfecting happening throughout our school during the day to keep Cov-id away, it is causing a strain on us keeping our budget as we projected. Our children and our cafeteria need some Cafeteria Moms and Dads; Cafeteria Grandma and Grandpas.
What are cafeteria Moms and Dads and grandparents? We are asking for two volunteers at a time, to choose a day that you can come to the cafeteria from 10:30-1:30 and wipe down the tables and benches between lunch shifts. That would be a tremendous help to us. You don’t have to do every day of the week, just ask a friend and call the school office and let us know which day or days of the week you can help us out.
What a great way to be a great steward for our school and meet a real need at this time. Thank you for what you are able to do!
Volleyball “Tacky Tourist” Theme Night Coming Next Week
Sacred Heart High School takes on Sante Fe for a great night of volleyball. We invite all fans to come out and support the Gremlins! Dress in your best “Tacky Tourist” outfit. Let’s cheer our Gremlins on to victory!

One of our favorite local barbecue restaurants has joined the Scrip program! Kehde’s Barbecue gift cards are NOW available in the school office. Gift cards are $25 face value and have a 25% rebate. Yes, you read correctly … 25%!!! Each time you purchase a $25 gift card you will receive a rebate of $6.25!!!
Don’t forget to stop by the school office Monday through Friday to shop from our great selection of physical gift cards. We have several retailers ONLY available through the office (i.e. Casey’s, Cenex, Shell, Colton’s, McD, Taco Bell, Walgreens, and VISA to name a few). Our next in house order will be Friday, October 2nd. All orders submitted to the school office by the end of day should be ready to pick-up by Thursday, October 8th.

¡Feliz Viernes de Homecoming de Otoño a Todos!
Hay una noticia triste que compartir mientras enviamos este Beat. Mike, el esposo de la Sra. Degraff falleció a principios de esta semana y queremos ofrecerle nuestro cariño y apoyo. El viernes 2 de octubre en la Capilla del Sagrado Corazón se llevará a cabo la visita de 1:00 a 2:00 pm seguida por la misa fúnebre a la 2:00 pm. Se requiere el uso de cubreboca. Favor de tener a la Sra. Degraff y su familia en sus oraciones.
¡Espero que esta noche muchos de ustedes puedan acompañarnos en Clover Dell para apoyar a los Grems por las festividades del Homecoming!
El equipo de JH de fútbol soccer comenzará a las 5:30pm seguido del equipo categoría Varsity a las 7:00 pm. Adelynn Hunsaker cantará el himno nacional y el alma mater. Torneo de Golf SHS – – – Y…. Una Invitación Especial
El Décimo Torneo Clásico Anual de Golf SH es el próximo lunes y tenemos espacio para más equipos.
¡AÚN ESTÁ A TIEMPO DE INSCRIBIR A SU EQUIPO!
Este es un evento importante para nosotros cada año. Tenemos espacios abiertos y necesitamos que su equipo se registre. Favor de revisar el folleto adjunto. Si puede ingresar un equipo al evento (y reclutar a otros para que hagan lo mismo) se lo agradeceremos.
Parece que el clima será agradable nuevamente este año, así que estoy seguro que la pasará genial jugando en un hermoso campo de golf.
Después del torneo habrá una fiesta especial para ver los CHIEFS – RAVENS en el Country Club y todos los Participantes del Torneo de Golf SH están invitados a asistir. Consulte el folleto a continuación.

Mensaje de los Pastores
La Armadura del Discipulado, el Diario de Oración
El miércoles, los alumnos de noveno grado (Freshmen) recibieron su diario de oración en medio de un servicio de oración. Durante el servicio de oración, se invitó a los estudiantes a usar el Proceso de Oración Matthew Kelly para guiarlos en su diario mientras la Sra. Bolin y el Padre Joe explicaban cada paso. Los estudiantes recibieron su proceso de oración para mantenerlo en su diario de oración. Aquí está el Proceso de Oración que se presentó y entregó a los estudiantes de noveno grado (Freshmen) para que todos puedan beneficiarse de la Armadura de un Diario de Oración.
Proceso de Oración utilizado para llevar un Diario:
1. Gratitud: Dar Gracias a Dios por lo que estás agradecido el día de hoy.
2. Conciencia: Cuando no eras la mejor versión de tí mismo; hable con Dios acerca de esto y de lo que aprendió de estos momentos.
3. Momentos significativos: Identificar algo que experimentaste en las últimas 24 horas y explorar cómo Dios podría estar tratando de decirle algo a través de ese evento o persona.
4. Paz: Pedir a Dios que lo perdone por cualquier mal que haya cometido contra usted mismo, alguna otra persona o Él y que lo llene de una paz profunda y permanente.
5. Libertad: Hablar con Dios sobre cómo lo invita a cambiar su vida para que pueda experimentar la libertad de ser la mejor versión de usted mismo.
6. Otros: Dale vida a Dios por quien te sientas llamado a orar hoy pidiendo a Dios que los bendiga y los guíe.
7. Rezar el Padre Nuestro.

Buscando Ayudantes de Cafeteria
Como se puede imaginar, toda la limpieza y desinfección adicional que se lleva a cabo en nuestra escuela durante el día para mantener alejado a Cov-id, nos está causando tensión para mantener nuestro presupuesto como lo proyectamos. Nuestros niños y nuestra cafetería necesitan algunos Papás y Mamás para la cafetería; Abuelos y Abuelas para la cafetería.
¿Qué son los Abuelos, Papás y Mamás de la cafetería? Estamos pidiendo dos voluntarios a la vez para elegir un día en el que puedan venir a la cafetería de 10:30 a 1:30 y limpiar las mesas y los bancos entre los turnos del almuerzo. Eso sería de gran ayuda para nosotros. No lo tiene que hacer todos los días de la semana, sólo pregúntele a un amigo y llame a la oficina de la escuela y déjenos saber qué día(s) de la semana puede ayudarnos.
Esta es una gran manera de ser un gran corresponsal de nuestra escuela y satisfacer una necesidad real en este momento. ¡Gracias por lo que puede hacer!
