• Fall Homecoming is this week! Friday students in grades 9-12 wear your Red and White. The pep rally will be for grades 9-12 only this year at 12:15 on Friday. You will leave the cafeteria and head to the McGremlin gym. Each class will be assigned a section in the bleachers. After the pep rally students will be given their 2020 Yearbook. Then you will go back to your fifth-hour class.
• Fall Homecoming coronation will be at halftime of the varsity soccer game on Friday. Come out to Clover Dell at 5:30pm to support

• Coronation rehearsal for all candidates, escorts, crown bearers, and cheer is today at 3:15pm in the McGremlin Gym.

Sports Action

 

High School Volleyball: Varsity (7-4-1, 3-0) JV (3-3, 2-0) Varsity beat Green Ridge in three sets 13-25, 14-25, 13-25.  Sacred Heart JV beat Green Ridge in two sets 14-25 and 23-25.  The next game is tomorrow night in Stover.  JV first serve is at 5:30 in the Green Ridge main gym.

 

Junior High Volleyball: The JH girls (3-4, 2-1) lost a tough three set match against the Green Ridge junior high team. They won the first set 25-20 and lost the second set 25-17. In an eventful third match, they lost 16-14.  The JH also travels to Stover tomorrow evening.  Their game starts at 5:30 in the auxiliary gym.

 

High School Soccer: (3-4, 1-0) The varsity boys recorded their first shutout of the year against the Green Ridge Tigers last night winning 2-0.  They continue conference play on Thursday in Stover.  Kickoff is after the JH game.

 

Junior High Soccer: The JH soccer team’s (2-2, 0-1) next game is Thursday in Stover.  Kick-off is at 5pm.

 

High School Girls Golf: Sacred Heart Lady Golfers completed the California Tournament yesterday with a team score of 364, good for a 4th place finish.  They play again tomorrow in a dual match at Marshall.  Tee time is 4pm.

 

High School Football: The varsity football team (2-1, 0-0) is on the road this Friday vs the Schuyler County Rams.  Kickoff is at 7pm.

 

Junior High Football: The JH football teams (2-0) beat the Orrick Bearcats last night by a score of 80-33.  Their next action is on Monday, September 28 in Chilhowee.  Game time is 5:30pm.

Good Morning Lord,

As we pray this Fall Homecoming week for our Sacred Heart Alumni, please help us to know deep in our hearts today that you are ready to remove whatever obstacles we placed between ourselves and you.  Open our hearts, minds and souls as well as the hearts, minds and souls of the Gremlins who have come before us to see the future you have imagined for us, and give us the courage to embrace your plans for us.  Please help Sacred Heart School and the hearts of all of us who attend both past and present to be a place where the love of Christ is present and visible.  AMEN
