  • On Friday Bishop McKnight will be here to celebrate Holy Mass with us to bless the beginning of our new school year.  Everyone is asked to dress in your very nicest school uniform on Friday..
  • Sophomores interested in running for a class office need to sign up on the sheet outside of Ms. McMullin’s door.  Deadline to sign up is next Tuesday by noon!!
  • There is a signup sheet for freshman elections outside of the Art room. Please sign up by Tuesday at noon.
  • All Band classes will begin TODAY.


Sports Action


High School Volleyball: The varsity and JV girls open the season TONIGHT on the road vs. the Marshall Owls.  JV first serve is at 5pm.


Junior High Volleyball: The JH girls open the season on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at home vs the Otterville Eagles.  First serve is at 5:30pm in the Hoying Gym.


High School Soccer: (0-2, 0-0) The varsity boys played in the highly competitive Smith-Cotton Invite over the weekend.  On Friday the Grems lost to Willard High School by a score of 5-2.  Saturday morning Osage High School bested SH by a score of 4-1.  The team’s next action is in our home opener Thursday vs Lone Jack.


Junior High Soccer: The JH soccer team opens the season on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at home vs Buecker Middle School from Marshall.  Game time is 5:00pm at Clover Dell Soccer Park.


High School Girls Golf: The girls opened the season Friday at the Warrensburg Tournament with an excellent 3rd place result, finishing only behind Class 5 schools Columbia Rock Bridge and Jefferson City.  The girls shot a team score of 401 with seniors Caten Lucchesi and Kelsey Hudson finishing 9th and 10th individually with scores of 95 & 96 respectively.  The girls play again tonight in a quadrangular match at the Sedalia Country Club.  Tee time is 4pm.


High School Football: The varsity football team’s got their season off to a great start with a 61-14 win over the Braymer Bearcats.  This Friday we will play host to the North Shelby Raiders.  Kickoff is at 7pm in Hughesville.


Junior High Football: The JH football team opens the season on Monday, Sept. 14 on the road vs the Wellington Napoleon Tigers.  Game time is 5pm.
