Please review the reopening plan. Updates are highlighted in yellow!
Friday, July 24
Today we are releasing the most current version of the school’s reopening plan. Mrs. Martin and Mr. Jones have worked hard to craft an effective document and a workable plan.
We know this plan will have to be adaptable and we will continue to work diligently in crafting a plan to safely and effectively reopen Sacred Heart School. In the development of this plan, we have communicated with other diocesan schools and read statements released by health officials, the AAP (American Association of Pediatrics), DESE, and MSHSAA. I can assure you that decisions are not being made lightly and we are working through as many scenarios as possible.
We have been able to come up with suitable daily operations (i.e. health screening, social distancing, cleaning procedures, etc) that will help keep our students and staff safe upon returning to school. Now our attention will turn to planning the next steps. While the health department will step in and assist if there is a positive case within Sacred Heart School, we want to be prepared and ready to act immediately if we have a student or staff member who has been exposed, or tests positive for COVID-19.
There is much uncertainty as we prepare for the upcoming school year, yet here are some things that we can assure you will happen this school year.
Your kids will be loved.
SHS will continue to put safety first.
SHS will do our best to keep everyone healthy
Students and staff will learn.
If you have questions or concerns please reach out to Mr. Jones or Mrs. Martin directly via email or a call to the school. Thank you!
Anticipation is building as the new year is now rapidly approaching. Please keep our school in your daily prayers as we seek a safe and successful return to school.
God Bless You,
