Totus Tuus Recap – What a Blessed Event!

“I am so grateful to have been able to witness the joy, empathy and reverence that our children showed during the Totus Tuus Program last week.  This year, taking into account the guidelines of the Diocese for COVID19, the parish of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring 8 missionaries to Sedalia to evangelize our children and adolescents about the Ten Commandments. The enthusiasm, energy, love of Jesus were everywhere in Sacred Heart School and they were contagious! It was a fruitful week, loving God and our brothers and sisters in different ways.

We want to thank everyone who helped in one way or another to make this possible, especially the Diocese and the missionaries.”

 – Mariela Messina, SHS Faculty Member and Director of Religious Education

“I like how open all of the missionaries are. We can talk to them and that’s good.”
 -Andres Vanegas, evening program

“The people are very nice. A full five days of cool games.”
– Blaise Brown, evening program

“My three kids attended Totus Tuus this year -grades 1st, 3rd, and 6th. Every day they came home: ‘Mom! Did you know…..about the commandments?’ ‘Mom, we loved the skits, especially the weather skit!’  Personally, as a parent, I love the Catholic catechesis presented in such a fun and memorable way. I always learn from my kids during this week!”
