Learning is a continuous process, even for our exceptional faculty. Mrs. Sobaski and Jill Bentch, our first and second-grade educators respectively, have found that Distance Learning has given them the opportunity to adapt and grow in their teaching. Enjoy this week’s faculty spotlight, and please feel free to share with a friend who might be interested in learning more about our distance learning activities.
Like most of our elementary educators at SHS, Mrs. Sobaski and Mrs. Bentch are sending daily emails with lesson plans. Traditional assignments like reading and creative writing are blended with a host of online learning.
Many learning tools, such Mystery Science, The Superkids Program, and Go Math that are normally only accessible through the school, are now available to families free of charge during this time. The second graders continue their First Communion sacramental prep through the Dynamic Catholic website.
Mrs. Sobaski & Mrs. Bentch are very thankful for all of the faculty and staff who are always so willing to help each other. The parents and students have been amazing as well.
Here are some examples of the daily opportunities the 1st and 2nd graders are receiving.
