Announcements:

  • The St. Jude’s Math-a-thon project is going great guns!  So far, we have raised $7,905. Although we are no longer soliciting additional pledges, due to inclement weather, we will be extending our collection dates an extra week! St. Jude Math-A-Thon will now come to an end on Friday, February 7th. Funds should be collected online and any cash or checks turned in to Ms. Kramer by the end of school on that Friday. Please continue to work hard on collecting the pledges you received for the children and families of St. Jude.
  • There will be an NJHS meeting right after school today in Mrs. Kilby’s room.

Robotics: The Sacred Heart Robotics Team has advanced to the conference qualifier on Feb. 15 at Blue Springs High School.  A strong showing at this competition could propel the team to the state robotics meet!

Team members include seniors Joseph Henke, Zaine Dover, and Drew Smith along with freshman Jordan Hill and Miguel Alejo and 7th grader Riley Bradley.  SHS Robotics is coached by Mrs. Andrea Henke.

Scholar Bowl:  The Gremlin Scholars’ next competition will be in the Kaysinger Conference tournament to be held on Friday, March 27 in Stover.  The tournament begins at 3:30pm.

HS Boys Basketball:  Varsity Boys (11-8, 4-2) split a pair of games over the weekend in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament.  On Friday night the guys beat the LaMonte Vikings. On Saturday the boys lost a close one to the Green Ridge Tigers.  Their next action is on Thursday at 9pm vs Otterville in the semi-finals of the consolation bracket.

HS Girls Swim:  Your last chance to see Sacred Heart Swim this season will be this Wednesday Night, 2/5 at 4:30 at the Sedalia Middle School.  During this meet, the combined squad of Smth-Cotton and Sacred Heart will face Rockbridge, Hickman, Battle and Father Tolton. The meet should wrap up by 6PM.  Come out and support our girls!

Today’s Prayer

Lord,

Help us to remember and realize that the saints were ordinary people who made themselves available to you.  Please give us the courage to make ourselves completely available to you, so that together we can collaborate to make our school and our world a better place in whatever ways you envision for us.
