Announcements:

  • If you plan to attend the Math contest this weekend at Smith Cotton High School please see Mrs. Starke to make sure you have been signed up.
  • There will be a Senior class meeting today during lunch in the commons.
  • Join us this Sunday for Mass to kick off our Catholic Schools Week celebration!
    • 8:00 a.m. Kids Choir will lead music ministry
    • 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Sacred Heart – Mr. Hartman and the High School Choir will perform the music ministry.  
    • 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel @ St. Patrick – Mrs. Messina and Mrs. Talamantes are working with school families to organize mass ministries at the 11:30 a.m. mass.  If you would like to get involved please let one of them know.

 

  • Mrs. Bahner is excited to announce that our 2020 Spring Musical will be “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” based on the popular comic strip Peanuts by Charles Schultz.  If you would like more information about this production or would like to be part of the cast or crew, please talk to Mr. Hartman or Mrs. Bahner to find out how YOU can be one of the Peanuts Gang!
  • All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship this coming Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the McGremlin gym.  Trophies are awarded in all 12 divisions (9-year-old boys through 14-year-old boys and 9-year-old girls through 14-year-old girls). This contest is free of charge and open to all area youth.
  • This message pertains to students in grades 9 thru 12/ staff / and teachers.
  • Any wireless device connected to our school Network will need a new security certificate installed before Friday morning in order to work properly.  If you get the message – “This site is not secure” every time you search google, you need a new certificate! Bring your wireless device to Mrs. Siron’s office for a quick patch to keep you up and running.
  • There will be an El Tap night Monday, January 27th from 5-9 to benefit NJHS

 

Robotics: We are keeping Feb. 15 open just in case we remain ranked high enough to move on to the next level of competition. 

 

Scholar Bowl:  The academic bowl team’s next competition is Monday, January 27th at Cole Camp. The team will be leaving SH at 3:15 from the Commons.Please contact Ms. Close if you have any questions.

 

Sports Action: 

HS Girls Basketball:   Varsity Girls (7-8, 2-2) next action is Friday night as the Grems go on the road to take on the LaMonte Vikings.  Girls play immediately after the JV boys game.

 

HS Boys Basketball:  Varsity Boys (8-7, 2-2) and JV play on the road Friday night vs the LaMonte Vikings.  The JV tips off at 5pm followed by the varsity action.

 

HS Girls Swim:  The Sacred Heart Swimmers compete tonight in the West Central Conference Championship Swim  Meet at Sedalia Middle School. The meet starts at 4, but Sacred Heart Swimmers will take the pool about 5PM.  Come watch the Smith-Cotton/Sacred Heart squad fight for conference honors with the Columbia and Jefferson City High Schools.

 

JH Girls Basketball:  The Junior High Girls “A” (2-2, 2-1) next action is tonight at home vs the LaMonte Vikings.  Game time for “A” girls action is 5:30pm.

 

JH Boys Basketball: The Junior High Boys “A” (6-0, 5-0) & “B” Teams (4-1, 3-1) next action is tonight at home vs the LaMonte Vikings.  Boys games follow the girls action.
