Announcements:

  • Please don’t forget to complete and return the Annual Fund Drive Packets to the office or to your first-hour teacher by Oct. 17. Our Annual Fund Drive is our school’s largest fundraiser. We depend on our Annual Fund Drive to award tuition scholarship to 80% of our students at SHS, so we ALL win with a successful Annual Fund Drive. Packets returned by Oct. 17 will get a coupon for a free treat.  The secondary and elementary class with the most participation will travel to DQ or McDonald’s for a free lunch! Right now the 6th graders are out in front with a very strong lead! See Mrs. Van Leer if you have Questions.
  • Fall Homecoming is next week! We are so excited to celebrate our school together.
  • Congratulations to the Fall Homecoming court. Senior Summer Caton and her escort Zaine Dover, Junior Kaitlyn Kempf and her escort John Ulbrich, Sophomore Bella Smith and her escort Alex Karigan, and Freshman Emma Lane and her escort Ozvaldo Martinez-Garcia.
  • Plan to attend the Volleyball game on Tuesday to see the homecoming court be presented.
  • Keep all of your memories from homecoming by purchasing your yearbook!
  • There will be a key club meeting Monday, Oct 14th during lunch in the commons

Sports Action:

Volleyball: The varsity volleyball team (11-9-3, 5-1) beat Smithton and Stover last night in the pool play round of the Kaysinger Conference tournament.   The girls now advance to bracket play beginning at 1pm on Saturday in Cole Camp.  

 

JH Volleyball: The JH Grems “A” (5-5, 5-2) & “B” team (4-1-1) next action is on Tuesday (10/15) at home vs LaMonte.

 

Soccer:  The varsity soccer team (11-5, 3-0) takes on the Smithton Tigers in the championship match of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament tonight in Stover.  Kickoff is at 8pm.   

 

JH Soccer: The JH Grems (5-3-1) next action is on Tuesday, Oct. 22 @ Smithton.  Kickoff is at 5pm.

 

Girls Golf: Sacred Heart Lady Golfers participate in the Sectional Tournament on Monday, October 14 at Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield. 

 

Football: The varsity football team (1-5) travels to Liberal High School tonight.  Kickoff is at 7pm.

 

JH Football: The JH football team (2-2) close out their season vs KC East on the 21st in Hughesville.  Kickoff is at 6pm.
