School Advisory Council

Purpose

The Sacred Heart Catholic School Advisory Council, hereinafter referred to as the “Council,” shall render advice and counsel to the pastor, principal, and sometimes the school president.

The areas in which the Council will offer advice and council are:

1. Planning (long range strategic planning)
2. Policy Development (formulating policies that give general direction for
administrative action)
3. Budget planning and review
4. Development (including public relations, marketing, and fundraising)
5. Program Development (spiritual, academic, physical, and social)
6. Facilities (planning and management)

The Committee is advisory in the following sense: its members cannot act apart
from or make decisions binding for the school without the approval of the Pastor
and Principal. All Council decisions will be consistent with diocesan educational
philosophy and policy.

 

Mission of the Council

The mission of the Council is to further the advancement of quality Catholic
education for the students of Sacred Heart Catholic School by providing counsel,
advice and support to the Pastor and Principal of the school.
