  • Seniors:  Please get your Rotary Bio’s completed and turned in to Mrs. Buckley asap.  We use these as applications for award opportunities and to help write college referrals.  You may attach your resume as opposed to writing everything in if you wish.
  • Seniors:  It is not too late to apply for a GAP year in South America or abroad sponsored (and primarily paid for) by the Sedalia Rotary Club.  See Dr. Register for more information.
  • ALL STUCO Meeting on Thursday, September 12 at lunch in Mrs. Starke’s room.
  • JH/HS Students this is the best week for you to purchase your 2020 yearbook. It is the lowest price of the year until Friday. Don’t delay! Order forms are on the back of the meme’s hung on your lockers or see Mrs. Howell.
  • There will be and NCYC meeting today during lunch in the commons.
  • Envirothon team will have their first meeting on Wednesday, September 18th, at lunch in Mrs. Hagebusch’s room.
  • Any High school student wanting service hours, Mrs.Hagebusch is in need of some people to work the blood drive. Please see her ASAP, the Blood drive will be held from 3-6 September 19th
  • There is a Hall of Fame student volunteer opportunity this Sunday. This is a great chance for students to earn service hours and meet special alumni and friends of SHS.  So far only three slots are filled, so basically there’s still plenty of room to get involved between 1:45 and 4 pm Sunday the 15th. You can find the signup sheet either outside of the conference room or Mrs. Howell’s room. 
  • Juniors and Seniors, anyone interested in learning more about the Health Care Field, Please see Mrs. Buckley about the Medical Explorers Program.

Sports Action:

Volleyball: The varsity (2-1) beat Sweet Springs 2 games to 1 last night in Sweet Springs. The JV (1-2) lost their match 2-1.  The girls next action is at home tonight vs the Bunceton Dragons.  JV first serve is at 5:30 followed by varsity action.


JH Volleyball: The JH Grems open their season this Friday evening in the Sacred Heart Tournament.


Soccer:  The varsity soccer team (1-2) travels to Clinton this week to play in the Clinton Tournament.


JH Soccer: The JH Grems open their season on Thursday, September 19 in a home match vs the Green Ridge Tigers.


Girls Golf: The varsity girls’ next action is on this afternoon in Boonville.  Tee time is 4pm.


Football: The varsity football team (0-2) plays in their home opener on Friday night vs the Chilhowee Indians.  Kickoff is at 7pm at Northwest Hughesville High School.


JH Football: The JH football team opens their season on Monday, September 16 at Chilhowee.  Kickoff is at 5pm.
