Announcements:

  • Don’t forget to purchase roses for Mother’s Day! Several options available from a single rose up to a dozen roses beautifully arranged in a vase. Cost from $1 all the way up to $20.  Sign up is in the office!
  • The Reading Lab is now closed to student checkout. Students need to return any books as soon as they are finished with them.
  • Yearbook sales end on May 17. We only have eight yearbooks left to sell! Help us meet our goal!
  • NJHS is having a supplies drive for the Sedalia Animal Shelter. The collection bin is in the commons. They are collecting bleach, paper towels, laundry soap, newspaper, cans of food, and smooth peanut butter. Help out our furry friends between May 1-May 15!
  • Freshmen and sophomores will meet in the Commons today to learn more about a summer leadership program opportunity – RYLA
  • Junior High Boys basketball will have open gym today from 3-5 in the Main Gym.
  • The current STUCO will be meeting in the Commons today for our end of the year pizza party. See you there!
  • The Class of 2019 is wearing their college t-shirt with their Sacred Heart uniform today. We will be taking a photo during homeroom. Meet in the lobby. Congratulations to all of our Seniors!
  • Do you still need service hours? Please check the bulletin board outside of the conference room for upcoming opportunities.

 

Sports Action:

Baseball: The varsity boys (9-7, 6-4) beat the Otterville Eagles at Liberty Park Stadium by a score of 15-0 in 4 innings.  They open district play on Friday evening vs Osceola High School. First pitch is at 5pm in Liberty Park Stadium.  

 

Golf: Sophomore Jeff Hollabaugh will play in the state golf tournament on Monday & Tuesday at SCC.  

 

Tennis: The varsity tennis team (3-5) participates in individual and dual district play tomorrow in Warrensburg.
