Announcements:

  • JH/HS: Yearbook sales are almost over. We have 11 yearbooks left for sale. Yearbook sales end on May 17.
  • Current Sophomores and Juniors! Want to be the voice of the student body? STUCO elections are coming up soon. Sign-up on Mrs. Howell’s door by tomorrow.
  • There are 18 students who still owe snack bar charges! Please pay Mrs. Howell today! The snack bar will not reopen until all snack bar charges are paid in full. Emails will be going home to parents this week if your snack bar charges have not been paid.
  • Any Junior or Sophomore who has not yet applied to Leadership Sedalia may still do so.  The application deadline date has been extended to Friday, April 26th. To all students who apply, there will be two students scholarships for Leadership Sedalia.  See either Mrs. Buckley or Ms. McMullin for an application.
  • Bandits Swim Team starts May 6th, at Sedalia Middle School Pool.  Swimmers 10 and under practice from 5:30 to 6:15, 11 and up practice from 6:15 to 7:00.  If you plan on swimming on the girls’ high school team next year, please plan workouts with the Bandits or another team.  See Mrs. Hegger with questions or for more details.
  • There will be a meeting during homeroom on Thursday, April 25th for any 6th or 7th-grade boy interested in JH BB for next season.  The meeting will take place in the commons.

 

Sports Action:

Baseball: The varsity boys (5-6, 2-4) beat the Lincoln Cardinals in a slugfest, 14-13 on Thursday for the consolation bracket trophy in the Kaysinger Conference baseball tournament.  Their next action is this afternoon at home vs Smithton. Game time is 5pm.

 

Softball: The varsity girls (2-10, 1-6) play @ home this afternoon vs the Smithton Tigers.  Game time is 5pm.

 

Golf: The varsity boys …………………………………. Their next action is Wednesday, April 24 at Meadow Lake Country Club in Clinton.  Tee time is 4pm.

 

Tennis: The varsity tennis teams (2-4) lost another close one in Carrollton yesterday by a score of 5-4.  Their next match is on Tuesday, April 30 @ home vs the Clinton Cardinals. First serve is at 4pm.

 

Track:  The HS track team competes this afternoon @ Knob Noster.  Start time is 4pm.

The HS & JH teams travel to Smithton tomorrow for the Kaysinger Conference track meet, beginning at 1pm.
