Preparing for the Future (CTC)

Sacred Heart offers opportunities for students to enroll in the Career & Technology Center (CTC) program at State Fair Community College. This program is great for students who are hands-on learners and already have some idea of what they want to do after high school. CTC offers many classes and opportunities for students to learn about the fields in which they are interested in. Each class at CTC will also give the students dual credits in math and communication arts.

“I love going to CTC because I get to meet new people from different schools and have fun learning about Criminal Justice,” Sacred Heart Junior Martha Angel.

Many programs offer internships and job shadowing after one year in the classroom. Classes may also offer OSHA 10 cards. The OSHA 10 card is a card the students will receive after a 10-hour course on safety.

“I think CTC is important because it will put you a step ahead of the other starters in the field your interested in,” Sacred Heart Senior Easton Webb.

CTC is a very important step for students choosing a career that they will be passionate about after high school. CTC is also a good way to meet new people who are also passionate about a career and to learn more tricks of the trade.

“I like CTC because it helps me better know what I want to do with my future career and what better to expect out of it,”  Sacred Heart Junior Dylan Elwood.
