VIDEO: A Pup’s Perspective Part 4

Legacy is the newest member of the Sacred Heart family. She has already made friends in every class that she visits and with the people she meets in the hallways. This video will focus on Legacy’s eyesight and hearing.

Through the eyes of SH’s golden retriever Legacy, these colors look very different. These are the colors that dogs see best and have the least amount of trouble processing.

  • Dark Blue
  • Light Blue
  • Gray
  • Light Yellow
  • Darker Yellow
  • Brown
  • Very Dark Gray

In the video the colors are adjusted to get a feel for how Legacy sees, and the sound was also amplified to highlight her hearing.  Although dogs have a decrease in eyesight, they are very talented in playing to play fetch and catching toys that are thrown in the air. Dogs also have a different sense of hearing than humans; dogs can hear four times what humans can. Isn’t that amazing.

“Legacy makes Sacred Heart feel more homey, and Legacy lightens the mood on a stressful day,” Junior Aaron Kennon commented.

The Digital Media Students found working with Legacy was a super fun experience that was very exciting and enlightening. “It felt this way because it was so inspiring. Most dogs lie around all day and chew on bones and play with toys but Legacy is here at Sacred Heart truly touching lives. She comes every day ready to help someone in need and put a smile on his/her face,” Junior Dylan Elwood said.
