Junior High Girls Basketball

 

The Junior High girls pulled off a rare and impressive feat last week in the Kaysinger Conference JH Tournament.

 

The girls received the 8th seed (out of 11 schools) entering the tournament.  They faced the Tipton Cardinals on Saturday the 9th in a play in the game. That victory earned them a matchup with the top seededCole Camp Bluebirds.  They pulled it out against the Bluebirds by a score of 26-18.

 

This landed them in the semi-final vs the Stover Bulldogs.  The girls kept up the momentum with a 34-21 victory. From here it was on the championship game.  At this point, there was no stopping the Lady Grems.

 

The girls brought home the CHAMPIONSHIP trophy with a 38-16 win over the La Monte Vikings.  It is very rare for a team to rise from the 8th seed to snare a tournament championship. Way to go, girls.  SH is proud of you!
