Announcements:

• All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2019 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship on Sunday, January 27th beginning at 1:00 PM in the Sacred Heart School gym.  Trophies are awarded in all 12 divisions (9-year-old boys through 14-year-old boys and 9-year-old girls through 14-year-old girls). Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of January 1st, 2019.  This contest is free of charge and open to all area youth.
• Beginning on Saturday, January 26th and running through Sunday, February 3rd the 10th and Thompson Car Wash is once again sponsoring a terrific CSW promotion.  In honor of Catholic Schools Week 2019, they have committed to a $1 donation to Sacred Heart School for every car through the Automatic Car Washes. *This promotion does not include customers utilizing the Unlimited Car Wash plan.
• There will have a track meeting for JH and HS during homeroom Friday, February 1st in the commons
• The Homecoming dance has been moved to February 16th.

Sports Action:

Varsity/JV Boys Basketball:  The varsity (8-7, 5-0) take on the Jamestown Eagles in the consolation bracket of the Slater Tournament at 6pm this evening.

 

Varsity/JV Girls Basketball: The varsity girls (3-12, 2-3) take on the Sweet Springs Greyhounds in the consolation bracket of the Slater Tournament at 3pm this afternoon.

 

Junior High Boys Basketball: The JH Boys “A”(6-1, 5-0) next action is tonight in the second round of the Gremlin Invite.  The boys take on the Stover Bulldogs in a 6 pm start. (“B” boys 3-0)

 

Junior High Girls Basketball: The JH Girls (4-2, 3-1) next action is also tonight in the second round of the Gremlin Invite.  The girls take on the Stover Bulldogs in a 7 pm start.
