- Today, Monday, December 10 during lunch the STUCO officers will meet with Mrs. Howell.
- Congratulations to Diego Lopez for learning and reciting the multiplication facts 0-12 to the entire 3rd-grade class on Friday. We are so proud of you!
- We have a new student starting today! Her name is Koyuki Miura. She is a Sophomore from Japan and goes by the name “Megan.” Welcome Megan, we are excited to have you as a member of our student body!
- Welcome today to visitor Diego Umana will be shadowing with Juan Fernandez. Welcome, Diego at Sacred Heart tomorrow.
- The ‘Follow the Star’ Christmas concert will take place Sunday night in the Sacred Heart Church. This is a free event but a free will donation will be taken up to support the schools Music Department. The concert begins at 6:30.
- There is no School Advisory Council Meeting tonight.
- Speech Tournament: Our hearts are full of thanks to all who made our speech contest on Saturday such a tremendous success! We are so grateful for all the judges who gave up their entire Saturday afternoon, food donations, concession stand volunteers, Commons set-up, plus faculty and staff who generously allowed us to invade your space. Special thanks to Liz Van Leer for the organization of hospitality and judges, the speech team and their parents for doing everything we needed, and Summer Caton for her rock-star leadership. Shout out to Jacob Mertes for going beyond the call of duty. Faculty and staff, there are goodies in the workroom, including the fridge and freezer. Share and enjoy!
Sports Action:
Varsity/JV Boys Basketball: The varsity (3-2, 1-0) & JV (1-0) will play in Lincoln vs the Lincoln Cardinals tomorrow night in an important Kaysinger Conference matchup. The JV tips off at 6pm.
Varsity/JV Girls Basketball: The varsity girls (2-5, 1-0) brought home the consolation trophy of the Pilot Grove Tournament Friday night with a 48-40 win over the Prairie Home Panthers. The Lady Grems will host the Lincoln Cardinals tonight here at the SH gym. Tip-off is at 6:00 pm.
Junior High Boys Basketball: The JH Boys (0-0, 0-0) season opens tonight in Stover. The “A” boys follow the “A” girls game. The “B” boys play after the “A” game.
Junior High Girls Basketball: The JH Girls (0-0, 0-0) season opens tonight in Stover. Tip-off is at 5:30.
