Today is Friday of the 1st week of Advent and the feast day of Saint Ambrose

Announcements:

We will have All School Mass this morning at 8:30. Elementary will do ABC Awards prior to mass today.

The Annual Children’s Christmas Party sponsored by the Daughters of Isabella and the Knights of Columbus will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1-3 p.m., at Knights Hall, 1708 Elm Hills Blvd. The event is FREE to all our Catholic Community families and it’s for kids of all ages along with their parents, friends, and family. There will be chili, hot dogs with all the fixings, and lots of Christmas cookies and fudge. Arts and crafts, games and lots of fun will be available along with Santa and Mrs. Claus on hand to take Christmas wishes and hand out treats. Please join in!

The ‘Follow the Star’ Christmas concert will take place Sunday night in the Sacred Heart Church. This is a free event but a free will donation will be taken up to support the schools Music Department. The concert begins at 6:30.
The Elks Lodge BPOE #125 will sponsor a free throw contest for elementary & junior high students tomorrow in the Sacred Heart Gym. Registration begins at 1 with the contest slated to begin at 2pm.

Sports Action:

Varsity/JV Boys Basketball: The varsity (3-2, 1-0) & JV (1-0) next action is on Tuesday in Lincoln as the Grems take on the Lincoln Cardinals. The JV tips off at 6pm.

Varsity/JV Girls Basketball: The varsity girls (1-5, 1-0) take on Prairie Home for the consolation trophy in the Pilot Grove Tournament tonight at 5:30.

Junior High Boys Basketball: The JH Boys (0-0, 0-0) season opens Monday, December 10th in Stover.

Junior High Girls Basketball: The JH Girls (0-0, 0-0) season opens Monday, December 10th in Stover.
