Today is Tues. of the 1st week of Advent and the Feast Day of St. John Damascene

Announcements:

Special thanks to all who were able to come out to Colton’s last night in support of our school!
There will be an NJHS meeting on Thursday, December 6th after school in Ms. Tague’s room.
There will be an Envirothon meeting today during homeroom in Mrs. Hagebusch room.
Students in grades 7-12 are invited to go roller skating with our youth group this Wednesday night from 6-8 P.M. Admission is $5. Please come to see Mrs. Plummer for a permission slip.
Thursday will be a 1pm dismissal for December faculty meeting. We will be on a shortened day schedule.
The Annual Children’s Christmas Party sponsored by the Daughters of Isabella and the Knights of Columbus will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1-3 p.m., at Knights Hall, 1708 Elm Hills Blvd. The event is FREE to all our Catholic Community families and it’s for kids of all ages along with their parents, friends, and family. There will be chili, hot dogs with all the fixings, and lots of Christmas cookies and fudge. Arts and crafts, games and lots of fun will be available along with Santa and Mrs. Claus on hand to take Christmas wishes and hand out treats. Please join in!

Sports Action:

Varsity/JV Boys Basketball: The varsity (2-2, 0-0) & JV (0-0) boys take on LaMonte tonight in the SH Gym. This is the Kaysinger conference opener for the Grems. The JV tips off at 6pm.

Varsity/JV Girls Basketball: The varsity girls (1-4, 1-0) lost their first-round game in the Pilot Grove Tournament last night to Otterville by a score of 39-21. They take on Bunceton in the second round tonight at 7:30.

Junior High Boys Basketball: The JH Boys (0-0, 0-0) season opens next Monday, December 10th in Stover.

Junior High Girls Basketball: The JH Girls (0-0, 0-0) season opens next Monday, December 10th in Stover.
