Announcements:

• Rachel’s Families will meet today during homeroom
• STUCO will be holding a bake sale On Tuesday, Oct. 23rd in the cafeteria during lunch periods. Pricing from .25 cents to $2 don’t forget your money. All proceeds will be dedicated to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Cardiac Rehab.
• Rachel’s families will also meet during the 5th hour on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd.  Pumpkins need to be completed and placed in the commons by the end of the hour.  HS students may come up early from their lunch hour to begin working on their pumpkins instead of going to the gym or snack bar.
• There will be a meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd for any students in grades 8 – 11 that think they might be interested in being part of a swim team next school year.  The meeting will take place in the ITV lab during homeroom. This is just an information sharing session so if you have any interest please come in.
• Grades are to be finalized and posted by Wednesday, October 24th @ 9 a.m.
• There will be a STUCO Leadership meeting this Wednesday, October 23rd during lunch.
• There will be a meeting on Thursday, October 25th for any JH boys interested in basketball this winter.  The meeting will take place in the ITV lab during homeroom.

 

Sports Action

Volleyball:

The varsity girls (19-10-1 / 9-1) begins district play tonight at Santa Fe High School with a  first round match vs the LaMonte Vikings. First serve is at 6pm. Good luck girls!

 

JH Volleyball:

The JH Girls “A” (19-1) took third place in the Kaysinger Conference tournament over the weekend in Green Ridge.  The “B” team finished their season at (5-2-3). Great seasons girls!

 

Girls Golf:

Congratulations to Coach Lucchesi and all the girls on a great Girls Golf season!

 

Soccer:  

The varsity boys (12-9 / 4-1) open district tournament play on Wednesday in Green Ridge with an 8pm match vs. St. Paul’s.

 

JH Soccer:

The Gremlin JH Soccer teams (5-3-1) takes part in the Kaysinger Conference JH Soccer Tournament this week in Smithton.  The Grems play the host Smithton Tigers at 6:30 on Tuesday the 23rd.

 

JH Football:

The JH Football team concluded a very successful season with a 3-1 overall record!

 

Sports action this week:

Jr. High Soccer Conference Tournament at Smithton

• Tuesday –  6:30 vs Smithton
• Wednesday –  5 or 6:30, depending on outcome Tuesday

 

Varsity Volleyball District –  Play at Santa Fe Alma. KMMO is covering the games.

• Monday night – at 6pm vs La Monte
• Wednesday – 6pm in Semi-finals. Finals are at 7pm

 

Varsity Soccer District – Play at Green Ridge.

• Wednesday night- at 8pm vs St. Paul Lutheran
• Friday night- Winner at 6pm, Final

 

Volleyball coverage on KMMO:

KMMO Radio of Marshall will broadcast the entire Class 1-District 13 Volleyball Tournament this week from Santa Fe. The 5 pm matches both tonight and Wednesday will be heard on KMMO-AM 1300 AM and on  www.kmmo.com.  The 6 and 7 pm matches both tonight and Wednesday will be heard on KMMO-FM 102.9 FM and on  www.kmmo.com.
