Announcements:

  • Congratulations to Junior Martha Angel for being crowned Homecoming Queen 2018 last night at the soccer game.  Congrats to the junior class for winning the float competition.
  • Friday, October 19 is the end of the first quarter.  Let’s have a great week and turn in the best first quarter grades possible!
  • There will be an NJHS meeting Thursday, October 18 during homeroom in Ms. Tague’s room.
  • There will be an NHS meeting today during lunch in the commons
  • STUCO will meet in Mrs. Howells room Friday during lunch. Please plan to attend.
  • Mass schedule this week is secondary mass today at 8:30 and elementary mass Friday at 8:15.
  • Don’t Forget:  Youth group meets tonight at 6:30 in the Newman House.

 

Sports Action

Volleyball:

The varsity girls (18-10-1 / 8-1) took one step closer to securing a share of the Kaysinger Conference crown last night with a 2 – 0 victory over the Smithton Tigers last night in the SH gym.  They will wrap up conference play on Thursday home vs. Otterville.

 

JH Volleyball:

The JH Girls “A” (16-0) team kept on rolling with a 2 – 0 victory over Smithton last night as well.  The “B” (4-2-3) tied their match with Smithton. Regular season play wraps up on Thursday at home vs. Otterville before Conference tournament play begins on Friday night at Green Ridge.

 

Girls Golf:

Caton Lucchesi shot a two-day score of 202 tying for 41st place, well within the top half of the field at the MSHSAA  Girls Class One State Tournament. Kelsey Hudson shot a two-day score of 241 improving her score by 3 strokes on the second day and making a very competitive showing as well.  Congratulations to Coach Lucchesi and all the girls on a great Girls Golf season!

 

Soccer:  

The varsity boys (12-8 / 4-1) beat the Smithton Tigers 5 – 0 last night in an impressive homecoming performance.  The boys take on state-ranked Southern Boone High School at home tomorrow night in their final tune-up before district play.  Kick off is at 5pm at Clover Dell Soccer Park.

 

JH Soccer:

The Gremlin JH Soccer team (5-3-1) tied Smithton 2-2 last night in a hard-fought contest at Susie Ditzfeld.  tonight. Kick off is at 5pm. Their next action is next week at the JH Soccer Tournament in Smithton.

 

JH Football:

The JH Football team concluded a very successful season with a 3-1 overall record!
