Announcements:

  • Standardized Testing continues today for students in grades 3 – 9.  Finish strong!
  • Don’t forget:  Blessing of the Pets takes place at 8am this morning in the Main Gym!
  • October APC meeting is scheduled for today at 11:30 in the PC.
  • Anyone WHO WAS NOT an Envirothon Team Member last year, but wants to be on the team this year, will need to attend a meeting during homeroom on Tuesday, October 9th.  You will be taking a short test to see who qualifies for membership!

Kiley, Claire, Juan, Hunter, Megan, Noe, and Natalie…..be sure and come!

  • Attention 6th through 12 graders Don’t forget the cafeteria will have a snack punch card available for purchase at lunch for $7.50. The cards will have 10 punches worth 75 cents each. You may use these cards to buy lunch snacks and drinks instead of remembering your cash each day.
  • There will be a meeting for students in grades 7 – 12 interested in signing up for Robotics Club on Thursday,  October 11 in the ITV lab. To be able to be part of this new activity you will have to be able to commit one afternoon a week (3:00 – 4:30) from mid-November thru the spring.  There is no cost to participants in this first year. If you have questions please contact Dr. Register or Mrs. Henke.
  • NJHS El Tap fundraiser takes place on Monday from 5 – 9 pm.  Please come out and support the NJHS.

 

Sports Action

Volleyball:

The varsity girls (11-10-1 / 5-1) beat Smithton and Otterville both 2 games to 0 last night in the Conference volleyball tournament.  They complete pool play on Sat. morning with a match against Stover then advance to the bracket round in the afternoon. The tournament is being played in Cole Camp.

 

JH Volleyball:

The JH Girls “A” (12-0) & “B” (3-1-2) teams next action are on Tuesday at LaMonte with a 5pm start.

 

Girls Golf:

Good Luck to Megan Wingerter, Kelsey Hudson, and Caton Lucchesi as they head to the MSHSAA Sectional Tournament on Monday.  The tournament is being played at Fremont Hills Golf Club in Springfield.

 

Soccer:  

The varsity boys (8-8 / 2-1) take on the Green Ridge Tigers for the championship of the Kaysinger Conference Soccer tournament at 2pm on Saturday in Stover.

 

JH Soccer:

The Gremlin JH Soccer team’s (5-3) next action is on Tuesday in LaMonte.  Kick off is at 4:30pm.

 

JH Football:

The JH Football team will play their final game of the season on Monday, October 8th as we take on the Northwest Mustangs at the S-C Youth Fields.  Kickoff is at 6 pm.
