  • Student volunteers are needed for the Hall of Fame event this Sunday. The sign up sheet is outside Mrs. Kennon’s room. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Van Leer. Our Hall of Fame induction is a special event bringing together alumni and friends of SHS that span the decades.

  • There will be a meeting during homeroom next Tuesday in the ITV lab for any students, grades 7 – 12 who would be interested in hearing about the new Robotics Club here at SH.  

Sports Action

Volleyball:

The Grems (4-3 / 1-1) lost to Green Ridge in 2 straight night.  They will complete in the Hillcrest High School Classic tomorrow in Springfield.

 

JH Volleyball:

The JH Girls “A” (2-0) & “B” (1-0-1) teams both won in straight sets last night in  Green Ridge. They will compete in the Sacred Heart Tournament here in the Main Gym tonight and tomorrow.

 

Girls Golf:

The varsity girls shot a team score of 219 at Cole Camp yesterday in a match vs. Green Ridge and Cole Camp.  Caten Lucchesi was match medalist with a 47. The girls will compete in the Smith-Cotton Tournament at the Sedalia Country Club on Monday.

 

Soccer:  

The varsity boys (4-5 / 1-0) beat Green Ridge in an excellent 3-2 match last night in Green Ridge.  The boys travel to Stover on Tuesday in another conference contest.

 

JH Soccer:

The Gremlin JH Soccer team (1-0) opened their season with a 4-1 win in Green Ridge last night.  They will also travel to Stover on Tuesday evening.

 

JH Football:

The JH Football boys (1-1) next action is on Monday the 17th in Sweet Springs vs the Greyhounds.  Kickoff is at 5pm.
