SACRED HEART SCHOOL

Extraordinary Catholic Education. Through Christ. For ALL!

Today is Monday, March 6th, 2023

  • Today is the Feast day of St. Mary Ann of Jesus of Paredes.  Let’s Pray….
  • Morning Prayer

O Christ, Son of God, for our sake you fasted forty days and allowed yourself to be tempted. Protect us so that we may not be led astray by temptation as we make our Lenten journey.  Since man does not live by bread alone, nourish our souls with the heavenly food of your Word; through your mercy, O our God, you are blessed and live and govern all things, now and forever. Amen.

  • Paid Dress UP Day! This Wednesday, March 8, students will have a Paid Dress UP day to benefit the Sacred Heart Fine Arts Program in memory of Zach Parsons. Different from a typical Paid Dress DOWN day, students are asked to dress in their best as we remember and honor the life of Zach Parsons with a Dress UP Day. Zach, a Sacred Heart junior at the time of his death, held high standards and goals in every area of his life, from how he treated others, to how he chose to dress. “You look good, you do good,” he liked to say. Zach treated everyone with respect and kindness. On this anniversary, we ask that students not only dress up but stretch beyond their comfort zones to lift others up in respect and kindness. ALL proceeds from this Dress UP Day will be matched by the Parsons Family (up to $1000), so PLEASE give and act generously, in memory of Zach.  No jeans or leggings allowed.
  • HS speech tournament photo for the yearbook is Thursday. Please go to Ms. Turner’s room after announcements.
  • Seniors will be taking their college shirt photos on Thursday during homeroom. See Mrs. Siron if you have any questions.

  • Student Council officer elections will be coming up in April. If you have ever wanted to help plan homecoming, design the merchandise for Gremlin Gear, or be a leader in the school then you should run for office. Current Sophomores and Juniors are eligible to run. See Mrs. Howell, Mrs. Hostetler, Ms. McMullin, or Mariana Restrepo for more information.
  • Rehearsals are underway for Sacred Heart’s spring musical The Sound of Music. Make plans to attend on Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th at the Hayden Liberty Center.  Tickets are on sale NOW!!  Cost is $5 per ticket, and are available at the School Office.
