As stated in our reopening plan, the appropriate level of mitigation strategies will be determined based on Sacred Heart School data, with county wide data also taken into account.
Although cases have increased from prior months, they are remaining relatively low, and our overall attendance for the month of January is 92% (this includes all school absences-travel, appointments, illness, and COVID related). We are continuing to monitor our COVID absences in addition to our overall attendance rates as we navigate through dealing with the Omicron variant.
At this time we are currently following these guidelines in regards to quarantine: Current COVID Quarantine Guidelines. In addition, we have increased cleaning and sanitizing measures and closed off water fountains. Masks are strongly recommended and will continue to be required at school-wide gatherings where social distancing cannot take place (such as All School Mass).
If at any time we feel that the measures that are being implemented are not enough, they will be revised immediately.
We count on our staff, students, and families to ensure that we are able to proceed with our current protocols. Taking precautionary measures, such as staying home if you are not feeling well or have tested positive for COVID, and wearing a mask following a positive test (days 5-10) or if you have possibly been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID, will help limit the spread of all illness among our Sacred Heart Family. Please continue to communicate with us about all student absences in addition to COVID related absences. Knowing this information helps us to make the best decisions for our school, and also allows our faculty and staff to provide the appropriate support and prayers for our students.
