Announcements:

  • Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest: All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2021 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.  Trophies are awarded in all 12 divisions (9-year-old boys through 14-year-old boys and 9-year-old girls through 14-year-old girls).  Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of January 1st, 2020.  This contest is free of charge and open to all area youth.  The local competition will be held on Sunday, January 31st beginning at 1:00 PM in the Sacred Heart School gym.  This is a kick-off event to Catholic Schools Week 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Winners can progress through local, district and state competition.
  • Good Grief — the SHHS Spring Musical is back!!!  On March 19-20, 2021, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown is coming to the Liberty Center stage.  We need to re-cast three leading roles for this production:  Charlie Brown, Schroeder, and Snoopy. We also need stage crew for lighting technician, sound technician, and stage managers.  If you are interested in being part of the Peanuts Gang, please come to the music room immediately after school on Friday, January 22 for more information and auditions.  You don’t need to prepare anything, just show up!  If you’re interested but can’t be there Friday, please see Mr. Hartman ASAP.
  • Hello from the Sacred Heart Science Class!  We would like to let you know about an upcoming opportunity to donate blood. See Mrs. Hagebusch to sign-up!
  • The Gremlin Student Cafe is fully restocked! We have all your favorites and some new items. Lunchables, pickles, nerd ropes, and hot chocolate just to name a few items. Come say hi to Kiley and Kaytlin!
  • The Gremlin Student Store is open after school and at home events. Forgot your school gator? We have them in red and white at the store.
  • Thank you to everyone that supported Pink Out to benefit Cancer Perks. We raised over $1500. Way to go, Grems!
  • Don’t Forget!  NJHS is having an Animal Shelter Collection. Paper towels, bleach, newspapers, pet toys, and Monetary Donations are needed. All Items will be collected in the Commons and in Mrs. Kilby’s classroom. Get all items in by this Friday, January 22nd at 3pm. Please help out these animals!!

 

Sports Action:

High School Girls Basketball: VAR (1-10, 1-3)  The varsity girls lost their ball game last night in Otterville.  Their next game is Thursday night in Clinton.  JV Boys tip off is at 4:30pm followed by varsity girls action.

 

Junior High Girls Basketball: A-Team (0-4, 0-3)  The Junior High Girls next action in the tournament is Friday night vs the Tipton Cardinals.  The boys game tips off around 7pm followed by the girls contest.

 

High School Boys Basketball: VAR (8-4, 3-2) JV (3-3, 3-1) The varsity & JV boys beat the Otterville Eagles last night in the SH gym.  Their next game is Thursday night in Clinton.  JV Boys tip-off is at 4:30pm followed by varsity girls then varsity boys action.

Prayer for the New President

Lord God, You have appointed governments and rulers according to Your goodwill. You uphold societies through the leaders of nations, and You provide through them. As we welcome new President Biden, help us to be good citizens. Give him wisdom and confidence to govern justly and in a Godly manner. Continue to bless our nation through him, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
