THANK YOU – THANK YOU – New Doors for Our Classrooms

A door to a classroom should be safe and sturdy to provide protection in the event of an emergency.  As our faculty and staff practiced lockdown drills last school year Dr. Brad Anders along with the Sedalia Police Department recommended a few improvements to our classroom doors to keep our faculty and students safe.  The picture above shows a few of the “before” pictures and the second shows the newly installed doors.  The process started last year in replacing doors, but we are happy to say our “door project” was completed early this school year.

A huge thank you to Advanced Building Supply (Lacy Judd & Chicara Grose families) for helping us purchase, stain and install 11 doors within our building.   This year 5 doors were replaced at NO cost to the school – Mrs. Kilby, Mrs. Talamantes, Mrs. Martin, Conference Room, and the Nurse.  And last year 6 doors were replaced with a minimal cost thanks to Active Parent Club – 2 Kindergarten doors, 2 doors for Mrs. Hegger, Mrs. Tippie and Mrs. McDonald.

THANK YOU! We are forever grateful to our businesses and families that make our school safe.  If you have the opportunity to thank Advanced Building Supply, APC, or the Judd, and Grose family – tell them you appreciate their support of our GREMLIN FAMILY.
