Announcements:

  • There will be a STUCO meeting today during lunch in the commons
  • We will have all school mass Friday 
  • There will be a Senior class meeting during lunch in the commons on Thursday
  • Deadline for the March for life has been extended to December 13th
  • The Class of 2020 (Juniors) is having a CHRISTMAS BAKE SALE on December 17 during the lunchtime hours. Bring your money and get some goodies!

Scholar Bowl:  The academic bowl team had a great showing in Lincoln yesterday.  A 3-man team of Joseph Henke, Cody Damlo & Donnie Dobson outscored GR – 210-180, Tipton – 210-100 and NW 180-60.  Well done, men! 

 

Sports Action:

HS Girls Basketball:   Varsity Girls (4-3, 1-0) opens in the first round of the Pilot Grove Tournament tonight vs the host Pilot Grove Tigers in a 6:30pm tip off.

 

HS Boys Basketball:  Varsity Boys (3-3, 0-0) beat Tuscumbia last night by a score of 83-12.  Their next action is in the Pilot Grove Tournament is Thursday in the semi-finals of the winners’ bracket.  Tip-off is at 6pm. 

 

HS Girls Swim:  The girl’s definitely showed they can compete at their first meet last night!  The Grems competed against Rock Bridge, Hickman, Battle, Father Tolton, Marshall,  Warrensburg, and our sister team Smith-Cotton.

  • SH took 5th out of  12 teams in the Medley Relay, Maia Smith backstroke,  Allie Ferguson breaststroke, Arly Ponce butterfly and Kate Carney freestyle.
  • The SH team of Allie Ferguson, Maia Smith, Kate Carney, and Arly Ponce took 3rd out of 15 teams in the freestyle relay.
  • Out of 51 competitors in the 50 freestyle sprint Arly Ponce – 2nd, Kate Carney – 4th,  Allie Ferguson – 12th, Maia Smith – 19th, and Kelsey Hudson – 37th.
  • Arly Ponce took 2nd out of 23 in the 100 breaststroke.
  • Kate Carney took 4th out of 38 in the 100 freestyle.
  • Allie Ferguson took 5th out of 22 in the 100 backstroke.
  • Way to go Grems on a great first meet!

 

JH Girls Basketball:  The Junior High Girls (0-0, 0-0) open their season on the road Friday, December 13 in Russellville.  The tip-off is at 5pm.

 

JH Boys Basketball: The Junior High Boys (0-0, 0-0) open their season on the road Friday, December 13 in Russellville.  The boys’ tip-off after the girls’ game.
