Announcements:

  • This is Fall Homecoming week! We are so excited to celebrate our school together.
  • Today is our first all-school picnic. You may purchase hotdogs as your school lunch or bring your own! Don’t forget your blankets and bag chairs. Let’s have some fun enjoying the sunshine together!
  • Thursday is Red/White day for high school students. Show your school spirit! We will all celebrate together at 2 pm with a pep rally.
  • Friday everyone is having a Spirit Dress Day! We will celebrate together with an all-school Mass. All grades will be on a shortened day schedule until 1pm. Then grades 6-12 will head to Vansell Field at Liberty Park for our first-ever Gremlin Olympics Kickball Tournament! We will have Gatorade and candy available for purchase.
  • There will be a prayer box outside of Mrs.Bolin’s room, Just write your prayer on the paper provided and we can share it or keep it confidential, let us know on the prayer what you would prefer.
  • Thursday Oct 17th is the final day to turn in your Annual Fund Drive envelopes to receive a free treat from DQ or McDonalds. You can return these to the office, to Mrs. Van Leer or to your first-hour teacher.
  • There will be a senior class meeting Thursday, Oct 17th, 2019 during lunch in the commons.
  • We would like to congratulate Aspen Carl in Mrs. Williams’ 3rd-grade class for reciting all the multiplication facts from 0-12 in front of the class.  Way to go Aspen! We are proud of you.

Sports Action:

Volleyball: The varsity volleyball team (14-9-3, 6-1) beat the LaMonte Vikings on senior night last night in the SH Gym.  Congratulations to seniors Grace Goodwin and Hannah McDonald and all of our student body on a great turnout for the game!  The JV also won 2 sets to 0. The Grems next action is next action is Thursday night in Tipton. First serve for the JV is at 5:30 in the main gym.

 

JH Volleyball: The JH Grems “A” (5-5, 5-2) & “B” team (4-1-1) next action is Thursday night in Tipton.  First serve is at 5:30 in the auxiliary gym.

 

Soccer:  The varsity soccer team (12-6, 4-0) beat LaMonte by a score of 7-0 last night at Clover Dell Soccer Park.  On Thursday the Grems take on the St. Paul Saints at Colver Dell in a 5pm kickoff. Please make plans to come out and support the guys.  This is a big game for them!   

 

JH Soccer: The JH Grems (5-3-1) next action is on Tuesday, Oct. 22 @ Smithton.  Kickoff is at 5pm.

 

Girls Golf: Sacred Heart Lady Golfers Caten Lucchesi and Kelsey Hudson advanced to the state tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Fremont Hills Golf Club in Nixa, MO.

 

Football: The varsity football team (1-6) will take on Norborne High School at 7pm this Friday night in Hughesville.

 

JH Football: The JH football team (2-2) close out their season vs KC East on the 21st in Hughesville.  Kickoff is at 6pm.
