Announcements:

  • Thanks to everyone who pitched in to make our inaugural mass of St. Vincent de Paul Parish a success!  It was a beautiful event and I sincerely hope that you will one day be very proud that you were a part of it!
  • Today is a dress down day to benefit the Rare Bear Quilting Charity.
  • 8th grade is sponsoring a Lemonade Stand in front of Church today from 2:30 to 3:30 to benefit Hurricane Dorian Relief efforts.  Please support them! 
  • STUCO will have a lunch meeting today in the commons
  • We will have our first Rachel’s Family meeting tomorrow during 3rd hour. Get to know your families.
  • ATTENTION Grades 7 -12 The announcement you have all been waiting for!! Mrs. Bolin is going to Fearfest on Friday, October 4th! The cost is $55.00 The money will be due by Tuesday, September 24th.  Sign-ups will be in the Cafeteria at lunchtime on Friday, September 20th or anytime before…Just come by her room!! Happy Haunting!!
  • Home Baked goodies and lots of other treats just for you! Thursday, September 26 is the Student Council Bake Sale during lunch. Hope to see you there!
  • Interested in being a part of the Gremlin Girl Dance Team this year?  There will be an informational meeting at Panera this Sat. at 9am. This meeting is for parents and students!
  • If you DO NOT intend on selling your Discount Cards from APC. Please return them to the office. We have other students who are willing to sell them.

Sports Action:

Volleyball: The varsity (6-7-3, 2-0) went 2-4 in the pool play round of the Camdenton Tournament on Sat, splitting with Co0lumbia Battle and Camdenton and losing two to the eventual tournament champion Branson.  In the 3rd place match the Grems lost to Camdenton 25-18, 25-17. The Girls’ next action is at home tomorrow night vs. the Stove Bulldogs.

 

JH Volleyball: The JH Grems “A” (3-3, 2-0) & “B” (2-0) teams play at home vs Stover tomorrow night at 5pm.

 

Soccer:  The varsity soccer team evened their record at (4-4, 1-0) with a very well played 1-0 overtime victory over Springfield Greenwood on Saturday in Springfield.  The boys take on Stover in conference action tomorrow night. Start times and locations TBA.

 

JH Soccer: The JH Grems (1-0-1) play Stover in conference action tomorrow night.  Start times and locations TBA.

 

Girls Golf: The varsity girls’ are competing at the Sedalia Country Club today in the Smith-Cotton Tournament.  Tee time is 10am.

 

Football: The varsity football team (1-3) lost to Appleton City by a score of 68-18 on Friday night. The boys play at home this Friday vs Drexel.  Kickoff is at 7pm.

 

JH Football: The JH football team (1-0) takes on Orrick this afternoon in Hughesville with kickoff at 6pm.
