Sacred Heart Elementary School had the Ninth Annual Blessing of the Pets on October 5th.  The blessing is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.

Deacon Arvol Bartok offered the Blessing for pets of students Pre K – Grade 5, and parish and community members.  We had a chicken, many dogs, and cats, turtle, hamster, and gerbil.  Children who were unable to bring their pets held up a picture to be blessed.
